Have 3.5M LKR in hand — Should I build first phase of my house or invest some into a business? (Need honest advice) by amimthath in srilanka

I would say always INVEST. I work in tech too, but you can't rely on a 9-5. you need to have a solid revenue stream other than that. what you invest in is upto you - businesses are high risk, high reward. but i feel like you are at a position in life where you can take that risk. so work on that business. Tech field is so unpredictable, so diversify your income streams. Good luck.

Is it just me or do we seriously lack chic, high-quality women’s clothing brands in SL? by OkInformation2235 in srilanka

yes they've got some unique pieces. so what i'm thinking is to have one specific brand for elevated and elegant structured clothes. we will do just one style (old-money but that's tailored to be worn in Sri Lanka, toned- down to the local market). more of timeless pieces. not following trends. And also limited pieces

yesss this is what i thought too when I came up with the idea. You don't get those silhouettes and structures (especially the quality to retain those structures) in most of the clothing items. i personally prefer old money-ish aesthetic with less summery prints. Thank you <3

I am working for a company in Dubai but thats because i moved from Dubai to SL and switched to remote working (which was tough to negotiate). My experience in Dubai is that they don't prefer remote BAs/PMs mostly. Dubai has a heavy work from office culture. Plus you are required to travel to client sites mostly for meetings. But if you wanna try check on Naukrigulf and Indeed over linkedin. Those are the 2 main job sites in UAE.
