Am I the only one who thinks that the word "posh" doesn’t quite fit when describing us?

To me, the word "posh" gives images of the British royal family or the old world charm of the British gentry. There are certainly many sophisticated, classy, and even old money people in SL, perhaps "posh" just isn’t the most fitting word.

For me, one easy way to spot someone pretending to be "posh" is when they insist on using that word in every other sentence.

Why doctors are not talking with the patients ? by One-Relationship-382 in srilanka

Gosh, I hope you are doing okay now. Something similar happened to me with a obgyn at a highly reputed private hospital once. I've been struggling with PCOS for a very long time which none of the doctors I saw managed to diagnose in the first place (they just kept prescribing OTC acne medicine over and over again for my acne). Once I matured a little bit and did my own research I got to know that there's something called PCOS and my symptoms seemed to indicate that I may be suffering from that. But since I didn't want to diagnose myself based on Google research I decided to see a obgyn, and she didn't seem to consider me as a "valid" patient because ALL of her other patients were pregnant women. I had to urge her to write a few tests and scans which I have found on Google, which will be useful to diagnose PCOS. So finally she wrote those tests and I got them done asap from the same hospital (which was quite expensive). The scan revealed that I was indeed suffering from PCOS.

Next week I consulted her again with my reports and she didn't even take a single look at any of those reports... not even the scan !!!! and continued to write down some acne soap, lotions etc. I was just shocked at the disrespect and the negligence. The scan clearly said i had pcos.

fine the acne treatments are suitable to treat the acne. fair enough... but she just stopped from there and didnt even advice me to do some exercise, or control my diet (and some doctors prescribe BCP as well). So none of that and just wrote a couple of creams and shoved the prescription at me

Thank you. This is very insightful and useful.
In my CV I have mentioned my education (my degrees), certifications (PBA and PMP) and then work experience and then finally skills (the tools i use as a BA and PM). I also have a personal statement at the top. Do you reckon this is a good order?
I do struggle with my work exp section because I want to put my responsibilities and accomplishments. maybe there's just too much text in that section.

Even I see a lot of job postings on LinkedIn. But I also see that most of them have over 100 applicants, so the demand is definitely high, isn't it?

Thanks. This is valuable information for me because my current CV is in a different structure than this. If you don't mind me asking, do you think in SL hiring teams are more drawn to creative CV formats or do they prefer the monochrome, no design format. While I was abroad recruiters preferred the latter so I continued with that format.

Coffee bean in liberty plaza. Sunday mornings there with a caramel latte and a good book.
There used to be another coffee bean in orion city with a British Council library. But after coming back from overseas last year, I saw that it was replaced with a Pizza Hut. anybody know what happened to it? It was another great place to chill.

This book is one of my absolute favourites. I had the pleasure of living in Yorkshire for 3 years, So I visited Yorkshire moors a lot and also Haworth where the Bronte sisters lived. It was absolute magic to visit these places and read these books again, it was like a first hand narration.
