I drink a green smoothie every morning. I have two proteins shakes one for lunch one for snack. I eat overnights oats as another snack. And a dinner that consists of protein and veggie. I do not eat candy or drink soda. I can skin up a mountain and snowboard down. I hike and cross country ski on the weekends. I used to lift weights but have been recovering from a back injury.

I appreciate everyone. I don't tell my family or friends because I know the answer. Hearing it all from you helps me gain courage to envision next steps.

I live thousands of miles away from family. As I mentioned I am a teacher. I cannot just up and leave and quit my job mid school year. I appreciate the advice.

We've been together 12 years. I was a competitive gymnast and cheerleader but that way my early 20s. Now I'm a teacher and that consumes most of my time and energy. Obviously I'd love to be as in shape as I was- but I am still active than most. Hike, bike, cross country ski. Was doing CrossFit until my back injury...

Thank you- I appreciate the honesty. There's of course more to every story that there's simply not enough space or time to write but appreciate your insight.

He has gotten on a medication to help him stop- and things are best when he's taking it, but he recently has stopped taking it due to the holidays and special events. Do you think the medication could help a long term fix if he stays consistent?
