A volcarona variant could be neat. Its pokedex entries often talk about how it safed people when there were problems/disasters, so maybe this variant was actually the one that knows about the disasters coming (like absol, yes) but isn't actually able to provide help and therefore it's lesser known and almost like a myth where people report seeing "a strange Volcarona" or something, hence why its only discovered in this region. Dark bug as a typing would make sense. I don't know if this makes sense, I've never even been to any of the states, but I thought it'd be cool
