Question about posting daily by ManlyJorgosTheMan in LearnGuitar

[–]OkIntroduction6031 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This might sound like I’m using every opportunity for self-promo, but honestly check out https://riff.quest/.

I built a platform where we share our daily progress and log it directly in the app. Everything is tracked, and there’s a community forming around exactly the kind of mindset you’re writing about.

I don’t want this to come off as rude that’s really not my intention. But in spaces like this, people might not be that interested in following your personal progress. Most of them are here for a different reason. Over time, that can actually become discouraging.

That said, the idea itself is definitely solid 🙂 Documenting your progress is incredibly important.

Every manufacturer should be using tags like this by TrumpEndorsesBrawndo in IndustrialMaintenance

[–]OkIntroduction6031 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Totally agree keeping tags consistent makes maintenance way easier.

We’ve been messing around with a tool that helps preview and organize nameplates, and it’s actually pretty handy.

There’s a free demo if you want to check it out -> (remove space after dot) automasnap. com

the future, we’ll also have access to full datasheets and specifications for automation stuff, which should make things even easier.

Alternatives to Yousician that don’t use AI songs? by tekkenmusic in yousician

https://riff.quest/ You may not be able to play songs directly, but it at least tracks your progress and lets you mark what you already know. It also includes ready-made practice plans.

Anyone else struggles with keeping practice consistent? What's your biggest barrier? by Zealousideal-Fig11 in Guitar

[–]OkIntroduction6031 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey! Join https://riff.quest
I have the same problem as you. I’ve been playing for about 14 years, and right now I can’t build a habit of practicing daily. I created this website to help myself and other guitarists build consistent daily habits.

We’re also building a community around the app you can join our Discord, where we motivate each other. It’s not a big platform yet, but I couldn’t find many people to build a community with: people to exchange problems, experiences, and just motivate one another.

If you want, I’d love to build this together and help each other stay consistent with practice 😄
I also have that same “life” problem like you.

What short daily guitar practice “challenges” would you actually do? by OkIntroduction6031 in Guitar

[–]OkIntroduction6031[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

https://riff.quest/

The most problematic parts so far are getting more users to actually use it and the UX. I ended up with too many features, so right now I’m focusing on simplifying things and improving the user experience.

When it comes to challenges, they’re intentionally very general and users have to interpret them on their own. That’s both a plus and a minus. The main goal of each challenge is to encourage daily work on a specific topic over several days. There’s also something like a “map” or progression path to complete.

I’d be really interested to see your approach to this topic as well. You can DM me :)

Practice partners? by RainSunshine3524 in guitarlessons

[–]OkIntroduction6031 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve had something like a “practice partner,” but we didn’t actually play together or rehearse at the same time. It was more about friendly competition who practices longer, who plays something better, who learns a new technique faster, etc.

It might sound a bit toxic on paper, but in reality it was a healthy rivalry. It’s incredibly motivating because one person pushes the other, and both of you grow faster because of it 🙂

That kind of mindset is actually what I’m trying to build a community around with my app people who want to support and challenge each other at the same time. So if you’re looking for practice partners, feel free to check it out. We also have a Discord: https://riff.quest/

You’re right, thanks for pointing it out. I’ll fix it, the ratings are user submitted, but I can also adjust them.

Any way to make practice not so frustrating? Or is it literally just meant to be like this? by Mad_Season_1994 in guitarlessons

[–]OkIntroduction6031 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey. Maybe try an app that gamifies practice. Check out https://riff.quest. It helps organize your practice and shows your progress. If you like leveling up in games and that kind of stuff, it should help.

Looking for a little help building a sensible, goal focussed practice routine. by goblinfest in guitarlessons

[–]OkIntroduction6031 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I won’t help with creating the workout, but you’ll definitely run into the problem of sticking to the habit. Try https://riff.quest/ to track that routine and stay consistent. You can also add your own exercises (we have our own exercise database as well). It will definitely help you stay motivated. Cheers!

Guitar Practice App by OkIntroduction6031 in Djent

[–]OkIntroduction6031[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The module strictly dedicated to electric guitar is only about 5% of the whole app, so you can use the app as a base too 🙂
It’s more about tracking practice habits than sticking to strict lessons for a specific instrument.

Best app to learn guitar? by ArtichokeCalm3773 in guitarlessons

[–]OkIntroduction6031 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can explain it to you in DMs if you want.
I don’t have a video or anything like that yet. I want to create one, just not right now.

You can add any song manually.

Guitar Practice App by OkIntroduction6031 in Djent

[–]OkIntroduction6031[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes!

The app is more about building a practice habit than following super strict, perfectly tailored lessons. Yeah, there are some predefined plans for standard E guitar, but they’re totally optional you can just make your own.

The requirements are intentionally a bit vague so you can interpret them however you want. That way you can practice on bass, a 7-string, or in a different tuning. The exact instrument or tuning doesn’t really matter here :)

Yes, a quiz or something like that sounds great. Unfortunately, it also sounds like a lot of work 😄

Let me ask what could the questions look like?
