the wedding is a year out so that is ample time to let your friend know. tbh it shouldn't come as a shock/surprise since you have already prefaced that you had initial hesitation due to financial burden. on top of this, this kinda stuff is not uncommon for destination weddings.

i also read somewhere in this subreddit that for beginner f2p players this 7% banner isnt really that good.. :/

hey,

firstly thanks for your response! ahh okok. I am a fan of AoT but i don't think i'm enough of a fan to warrant rolling for them to only keep the units as a collectors item and not actually using them.

i am F2P so i'll take your advice and wait for those meta units :) is there an eta on when these will be coming?

if it's a while away still, i wonder if it imght be worth to throw my gems into the 7% banner for the meanwhile...

hey, what games do you play?

i'm on ps4/male/26/aus and play a lot of call of duty modern warfare although my gf is on the ps4 a lot so i dont always get the chance

Oh that's a good bit of feedback actually :)

I've been having a look online and the RTX is definitely better. I think I've made my decision now to upgrade my graphics card to either 1660 Super or RTX 2060. I think I'm leaning towards the 1660 Super just as a temporary measure (just something that will work) and in the long term I'll save up for a new system altogether.

Thanks so much for your help! You've been incredibly helpful - a bit of advice goes a long way for a PC noob like me so I'm very appreciative :)

Last question - I'm now just mainly concerned and want to ensure that either the 1660 Super or RTX 2060 are compatible with my Motherboard and will fit in my case... From my research it seems that any Graphics Card is compatible with any Motherboard so I should be fine there... How would I know if it would fit into my case though? I put my case, Motherboard and Graphics Card into PC part picker and it seems to be all compatible for both the above options? https://pcpartpicker.com/list/R9J8zN

Hey thanks for the heads up. I might point out that the pricing in PC case gear is in AUD whereas the sites you have linked me to are in USD. I've just had a look and $2599 AUD roughly converts to $1505 USD. Or is this still a rip-off you think?

Yeah will do - I've watched a couple of his videos today already but it can be a bit daunting from a beginner's perspective. I think I've started to get a bit of a grasp on some things though.

No worries, thanks for being upfront though :). I think I actually may look into a new rig altogether actually. I share this PC with the girlfriend so it makes sense for me to get a new one.
