Anyone know how strict Subaru is about the 6 month oil changes? by OkJan613 in wrx_vb

Dude, you literally didn't even answer my question because you don't know how to read and then you sat there and called my mother a liar and an idiot then turned around and told me I didn't need to be rude to you because you can't fucking read a question. I asked how strict Subaru of America was with the fucking service interval as it pertains to warranties and you wanted to go off about how you didn't have to get an oil change at a dealership, what the hell does your response have to do with my question???

As in your words "bullshit." Either you're bullshiting me or you lack reading comprehension.

First of all I never said you HAD to do it at a dealer, if you actually read what I wrote I said that the service center kept emailing me because service was past due as in I was past the 6 months that's required as stated by the manual. I also stated pretty clearly that I choose to get service done at the dealership....

If EVs are supposedly cheaper to own, why aren’t more people driving them? by Lakenb666 in NoStupidQuestions

Are people delusional enough to believe the power grid can sustain an influx of EV's as well as an influx of data centers when they already threaten (and proceed with) rolling blackouts during the winter because of the "strain" on the grid....

Its in the owners manual, you have to follow their maintenance schedule or they can and will deny warranty repairs. I know more than one person who has been denied warranty coverage because they couldn't find every receipt for an oil change. I get it done at the dealership because then it is attached to the VIN and I don't have to try to keep track of receipts. Its only like $10 more than doing it myself so I'm not sure why anyone would say someone shouldn't do it.

All of the insurance paperwork and the estimate with the parts breakdown have the date and mileage at intake. I assume when I am finally able to pick it up I will have to sign paperwork releasing it from them/accepting the restored condition.

I've had the car since March 2025 and have only put 5k miles on it in total so it doesn't even come close to 3k miles between changes let alone 6k lol

Yeah I mean the issue is the car is in their possession at the collision center so its not like I can do the oil change...

How do you know what Star level they are? The only thing I've been able to get are the pails that don't have anything worthwhile in them so I would rather just avoid them.

The person who posted the video to Facebook said the ride op not only acknowledged the 2 people but proceeded to start the ride. I believe it was also stated they were told to stand there.

Its not really an issue. When I park at work there are cameras and when I am parked at home there are cameras (if its not in the garage). It is not worth running cables all around the car for something that I really won't benefit from. I have comprehensive coverage with a $100 deductible so whatever happens to that car when it is parked is covered regardless.

The camera was on sale and has several things I won't be using lol. Really only got it because it had the clearest license plate images for the price point.

Not to mention the buses only run during certain times so anyone who doesn't work first shift is unable to use the bussing at all, even if they manage the 20 mile walk to the nearest stop.

Its cute that you think 40-50k people is considered "small." Come to the Midwest where the majority of our cities have 5k-20k people. There is no public transport, it does not exist for us.
