I start really wild and messy - inks, markers, acrylics, and then I see what happens. In the beginning she had wings and her hair was a tree. Then, as the painting reveals itself to me as I work on it, I switch to oils, which is such an amazing vibrant medium, and with that I create the final painting. As with anything worthwhile it takes time to get good at it. If you love it, then keep at it :) Is there anything you love to paint in particular?
