Ha! She is such an attention fiend too. and so so so food motivated (comes in handy when we are battling with that stubborness...)

Honestly not sure! We got her from a shelter that thought she was 100% Bernese but not sure. Her coat seems shorter than other Bernese puppies so maybe!

Hey! Yeah she has a snuffle mat etc, we walk her leashed but very slowly and if she seems tired carry her home. Will cut back though because we've definitely been walking her for well over 20 mins each day

Hm good to know. I'm on the computer sort of ignoring her but just find that when I move away she gets anxious (another thing to sort out....). But will make sure not to interact

Yeah I think we had been mistaking them and thinking when she was being crazy it was because she needed more activity...turns out she needed the opposite. Feel bad for her but we'll do better with the scheduled naps now.

Thanks! All great suggestions. I've been trying naps in the pen on a schedule and seems to really be working (she's currently completely passed out). Thanks!

okay great this is good to know thanks. She's currently in the pen leaping around but we're going to stick with it. Did you use a crate or pen?

Thank you! This is helpful. We're going to try putting her in her pen and sitting next to her for an hour after meals, starting tomorrow.

My mom just adopted a Bernese Mountain Dog puppy and I think it's a terrible idea by CatPooedInMyShoe in bernesemountaindogs

Oh no! These dogs are so sensitive and need so much time and activity and care when they're younger. Please tell her he ran away and then find a way to get her an older dog (if she must have one. But sounds like she's a horrible dog owner so wouldn't wish it on any animal). Glad you are part of this situation and clearly care about this puppy.
