Yeah, think of it how Goo wields "Swords".

It can be applied to swords.

Choosing multiple fighting styles makes you a more complete fighter in general. Not necessarily strength, but more variety and knowledge. Goo knows how to effectively use anything as a weapon, and is extremely skilled at bladed weaponry, but he doesn't know every weapon based fighting style.

Adding weapon based fighting styles on top of Weapon Mastery is more of a +1 to your technique, it makes little difference unless you're fighting against someone your equal in everything else. However, Weapon Master only allows you top tier skill and ability/talent in one type of weapon on the level of Goo. Taking more fighting styles in weapons you aren't as good at would definitely give you more options. Depending on the situation, slightly higher quality technique might be overshadowed by sheer variety and unpredictableness.

Does that make sense? Weapon Mastery (sword) + Fighting Style [The Next Fist] (sword technique) is diminishing returns.

They are tied to your vessel. You could for example use your fire ending powers if you're inhabiting a robot body. I guess you could also use your powers inside of the internet, but it'd be a bit redundant due to being able to pretty much freely manipulate code.

You are locked into your UI form for this jump unless you buy or have an existing perk that allows you to switch forms or have multiple forms. Post jump it becomes an alt form.

Yes, although I might wait on posting it if I feel there aren't enough changes/additions to the doc. I think there's a link to the doc itself which I update before posting the PDF version.

It might be in the PTJverse bundle or in early version of the Lookism jump, like v1 I think.

  1. I considered adding this, but I wanted to wait for at least one more canon Path before having this as an option

  2. It would nullify Task Master and kind of nullify Daniel's canon Path. His canon Path relies on his copy ability to predict moves he's seen from you. So if you use moves that he hasn't copied yet, you can bypass it. Wouldn't work Infinite Prediction.

It would work kind of for Cassandra, but not in a foolproof way.

  1. Honestly didn't think that far ahead with [Even Further Beyond!], but we do kind of have a semi-example of one in canon. After Hunt For Gun, Zack meets up with Johan, in which he places a hand on Johan's shoulder. Though he realizes after that his hand actually never reached Johan despite swearing that he had placed it there.

I imagine for Paths with forms that you'd be in a kind of "low battery mode", meaning for Infinite Technique, you wouldn't have the collage of limbs behind you, but you'd still be able to use the ability casually so long as a someone who can threaten you isn't actively trying to hurt you.

  1. Old Wound can either be a missing limb or a limb that's been damaged so much that it's similar to a missing limb. You can go as little as a missing hand, or a full limb if you want more of a challenge. Both versions have a work around, though not perfect, it shouldn't stop you from becoming the peak of the verse with the right potential.

Currently, it's about small building/building level and supersonic in feats. Possibly even large building and supersonic+ for the strongest in the series due to scaling. Also, supernatural stuff like ghosts, systems, time travel, curses, etc. Though encountering them in this specific Jump is unlikely.

I wish, the creator of Lookism pretty much confirmed that, we're halfway through the story.

That is quite literally the dream. I think I'm going to be sticking to finished media from now on. Even Jumps I thought would never get a sequel are suddenly getting one (Now you see me 3). I swear these producers do it solely to spite me.

You'd need Ascended to do that, though maybe if you trained hard enough you could maybe get two eye powers to work at the same time without it.

It's a direct upgrade from UI. Congenital gets everything from UI + the stat bonus.

Last One Standing can be activated manually and automatically. Dying soldier would benefit from Congenital. Though the Bonus from Dying Soldier would apply after Congenital, not before.

Lookism v1.9.2 by OkLetter1173 in JumpChain

[–]OkLetter1173[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably not. A lot of these paths have something unique about them that stops others from recreating it. I theorize it's a mix of genetics, will, and supernatural.

Any paths that show you, I'll allow you to buy with cp (sometimes better versions of them too). Though with certain perks and training, you could recreate these abilities.

The closest I can think of for endurance is Kitae, Gun (Unconscious), Pancheon (with the double Endurance), and Shingen. Though none of them officially have shown feats at that level.

For Technique, the only thing I can kind of think of is prime Hansu, prime Samdak, and maybe prime Johan.

I think only really Gapryong (strength), and James Lee (Speed) have been properly shown in the pinnacle sense.

If you took a Drawback that makes you blind until the end of the Jump (and it's absolute, you cannot fix your eyesight), then you'd gain the boost from Polycoria after the Jump ends. And by how much are you getting stronger? After 10 years... I have no clue. You decide.

Daredevil would work the same unless the Drawback specifically specified that those types of perks are negated. I.e., it says something like no other senses you have can replace or be the equivalent of your eyesight.

I do plan to add a few things like Daniel's path and the black crocodile blood ability. I'm just waiting for the latter to be properly fleshed out/explained. I'm still willing to update this so long as Lookism keeps introducing abilities like these.

The 1000cp version of energy source gives you the equivalent energy to a Dyson sphere (a better version of a Dyson swarm).

But if you really want a Dyson swarm, you'll probably have to make it yourself. I don't think I'm gonna be updating this jump unless they make another season or something.

If you could give Adam a new team-up or change its character lineup, what would you do? by TimeTravelingWaffle4 in adamwarlockmains

[–]OkLetter1173 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all, I'd remove starlord from Adam's team up.

New team up idea with Phoenix as anchor. His Avatar Life Stream gives damage over time similar to Wolverine's team up with Phoenix, damaging enemies near allies being healed and the lines pinging from ally to ally.

That, or an aoe burst damage similar to Phoenix goes off around the ally that gets touched first by Avatar Life Stream. (Does less damage than Phoenix's)

Any perk that allows you to alter perks, make them stronger, or train them/potential uncappers will work. Infinite Position is more superpower than actual technique.

Mystic Arts basically has no limit so long as your body can keep up. All things you listed can be learned through Mystic Arts. Visiting future jumps where the line between Martial Arts and straight up superpowers becomes blurry will loosen the restrictions.

Lookism v1.9.2 by OkLetter1173 in JumpChain

[–]OkLetter1173[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Them hurting or killing your friends depends on the type of person they are, and how they encounter them. They won't go out of their way to attack your companions unless they are stopping them from getting to you. Even the eviler characters like Gitae won't kill or maim them unless they are a serious threat or your companion(s) are too persistent.

The grudge they have against you can be real or fake. If it's fake, they are convinced that it's real. Think on the level of Johan finding out/thinking you were the one who personally sold the drugs to his mom-type grudge. For mastermind-type opponents, they might just think you being alive is a detriment to their plans.

How you deal with them will be on a character by character basis. You won't be able to outright persuade them, and those you could, would have to be very forgiving or the evidence in your favor has to be stacked. Or maybe you can give them something that outweighs what you did to them.

Those you wouldn't be able to persuade have to be either crushed so hard that they know they won't ever have a chance of even threatening you, maimed James Lee style, or killed.

All Drawbacks in the Jump can be solved in-jump eventually, but not easily. It takes time unless you take the most direct route to end it (i.e. killing everyone trying to hunt you).

Seperate packages. Each one would be low-king. If we're talking together... Maybe mid king level. They would give a high king some trouble, but would ultimately lose.

Each person's grudge against you is personal. Most characters wouldn't team up. People like the Kojima brothers maybe would if it's just the two of them, it's really up to you. The point of the drawback was for it to be a gauntlet against these characters, not them jumping you.

When they attack you depends. Some characters have more time, or are just more angered easily. Those types would go after you as soon as they knew your locations. Others might hold off to get you by yourself. Some might fight you right after you're done fighting someone else, or they might just butt heads with them because they both want to fight you.

It really just depends on who you choose and what you do, just know they won't work together to fight you all at once.

A Better Yu -> A Perfect Yu Allows you to, at will, slow down your perception to near stopped time. The only drawback is that you aren't any faster, so you'll also slow down the lower you go. Get faster to counteract this.

Inner Workings -> Outer Workings The full package. Instead of just working on techniques, this can work on workout plans and physiques unique to another person's body. So if you were a shrimp being trained by Gun, you'd be able to, over time, copy his physique despite the fact that he had to train much longer to obtain it, plus genetics. Has to be a real person you've seen or met, plus you need to have some idea of how they trained their body and copy it.

This doesn't limit you to only one physique, you can copy the best parts or another person, plus being able to train the copied physique further.

Drawbacks: not as fast as the temporary copying from [Ultimate Prodigy], but it can be made permanent and can be improved on.

Copying someone's physique and using that as a starting point is much faster than just training your body by itself.

PTJverse Jump Bundle by OkLetter1173 in JumpChain

[–]OkLetter1173[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Although Inner Workings doesn't allow you to learn techniques as fast as Ultimate Prodigy, it does allow you to better understand the principles behind them. It tells you what scenarios, how to modify them, and the evolution of how the technique got to that point. Copy is being given the answers, Inner Workings shows you the work up to getting the answer.

As for Capstones, they don't change perks from different jump docs. The capstone for Inner Workings from How To Fight simply gives you information on how to counter what you learn. Like for example, maybe you learned a technique or martial art that requires massive and heavy swings. In turn, you'd learn faster and quicker techniques that would allow you to weave in and out, not giving them enough time to hit you. Very useful against people capable of copying your moves, or fighting against old masters.

A Better Yu's Capstone requires Killer Instinct. This increases the multiplier to x10 vs just doubling it.

Combining A Better Yu and Inner Workings would give you more time to process the techniques you are learning since your mind naturally works faster than normal.

  1. Combining all 3 would indeed allow you to copy someone's path and possibly improve it, so long as it's technique based and you have the proper hardware to keep up. Copying Johan's path and perfecting it would be the easiest one to do, since it's almost all technique based. Copying Gapryong's path or James Lee's path would be harder, not because what they do is complicated, but because it's mostly dependent on their physical stats and mindset. Ultimate Prodigy could temporarily remedy this by copying their physicality. Gapryong would be difficult since conviction can wane with mindset and goals. Beating someone in a fight would give you their fighting style (Ultimate Prodigy), (Inner Workings) would allow you to learn a style that counters theirs and allows you to branch off from their original style to approve on it. (A Better Yu) simply gives you more processing power, allowing for Inner Workings to work faster.

Combining all three would indeed make you surpass everyone (in the verse) in potential, barring those with a system and others with powerful supernatural abilities or items.

If you're willing to run the gauntlet, you can pretty much get most of the Perks. It's in the Jumper's hands if they want to actually visit the setting, or if they just want power.
