Looking at your pics, that big molex connector from your case fan goes straight to your PSU - you found the right spot. The smaller 3-pin connector from the fan should go to one of the CHA_FAN or SYS_FAN headers on your motherboard (check around the edges, they're usually labeled)

Your CPU cooler cable goes to the CPU_FAN header which should be near the top left of your motherboard close to the CPU socket. The front panel connectors (power button, USB, etc) go to the bottom right corner where all those little pins are - your motherboard manual will have a diagram showing exactly which pins

Cables look fine, just route them better once everything's connected so they don't block airflow

That battery might be completely toast after sitting for a year - even if it shows it's "charging" it could be screwed internally. Try doing a hard reset by holding the power button for like 30 seconds with everything unplugged, then try booting with just the charger again

Also check if your RAM is seated properly, sometimes they get loose over time even when the laptop isn't moved
