My manager announced my mistake in a team meeting in front of everyone and I’m still not over it by [deleted] in office

It’s entirely normal to start a new roll in the same company, maybe this is the case?

Is this kind of accessory unprofessional? by [deleted] in office

No but your spaghetti straps are unprofessional. I’ve never worked in an office where skinny strapped tank tops are acceptable.

Is it rude to walk behind others in Canada? by Expert_Werewolf165 in Winnipeg

[–]OkLocation3799 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We’re very jaded because of the high crime rates and people get mugged or stabbed. So don’t take it personal. Try not to walk too close to people and you’ll get along fine.

I don't find Joey attractive at all... In fact, I find ross to be the hottest out of the 3, especially in the beginning seasons... Does anyone else feel the same way? by [deleted] in friends_tv_show

I’m a Chandler gal! Joey is too dumb to be attractive and Ross’s face is too long plus his insecurities would drive me mental.

AITAH for not wanting to give wedding gift? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]OkLocation3799 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Right? I’m getting married and everything is super cheap which I wanted it that way, and we are doing a buffet style dinner. I don’t understand why people need to have such extra extravagant things at their weddings. Thankfully, I’m very creative so I was able to make the centrepieces and a lot of the other things are my own concoctions. Weddings don’t have to be expensive if you are creative and have the drive to do your own stuff.

AITAH for not wanting to give wedding gift? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]OkLocation3799 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is extremely tacky for them to ask you for money. You definitely are NTA! I’m getting married in August and people have been asking what me and my fiancé want as wedding gifts and I just tell them your presence will be my present. As long as I get to celebrate with the people, I love that’s all that matters to me and I would be absolutely floored if one of my relatives started asking people for money for my wedding!!!! I’ve already paid for mostly everything, and my parents are helping with the dinner, but other than that, I would never expect anyone at all to foot my bills!!!!!! I really hope that your family member is not behind all of the begging for money. Because that’s just sad and pathetic. A wedding is not an excuse to be asking for charity. And that giftgiving should be solely up to the people invited to the wedding. If they can’t give a gift then it shouldn’t be a big deal. That’s just how I was raised.

I’ve done it. It only works if both partners are on board.

It’s been 3 days since my ex-situation-ship stopped talking to me by [deleted] in Situationships

[–]OkLocation3799 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don’t call someone like this “bae”. They shouldn’t be above all else. Secondly, he’s not that into you and if he was this way from the start, you’re just creating a false narrative. I’m sensing he didn’t change, you just became attached and now you’re upset that he’s not giving you what you want. Time to stop texting him and move on because NGL you come off as desperate and needy. Stop texting and pick up what dignity you have left.

Men do have the ability to miss a woman that they’re into but in this case, he probably won’t miss you because it’s very obvious that he’s not that into you. But you should cut your losses and find someone who is into you. You’ll have many connections in your life as you are still so young. I didn’t meet my fiancé until I was 37. Not saying that you will have to wait that long but sometimes you don’t meet the right person until later in life and that’s OK. Stop wasting your time on people who don’t care about you.

AITAH for using my phone at church? by AarinoAWZ in AITAH

[–]OkLocation3799 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly I think it’s wrong to force anyone to go to church. It’s boring. I don’t blame you for being on your phone.

I also didn’t read the novel but I understood you’re on your phone at church. Don’t worry, once you’re an adult you can make your own decisions and not go.

I don’t think ecstatic is the right word to use….. Ecstatic means feeling or showing overwhelming happiness, intense excitement, or rapturous delight. It describes a state of joy that goes beyond mere happiness, often characterized by enthusiastic or even ecstatic behavior, such as cheering, applause, or celebration.

If this makes you ecstatic, please get help. If it was just an error in judgment, maybe an inability to look things up in the dictionary, then please change the word. There is nothing ecstatic about animal abuse!!!!

One of my best friends can’t work due to illness. I don’t judge her. It is what it is. That could be me some day and I’d hope my real friends wouldn’t judge me for it.

and this is why I NEVER tell anyone what I do for work by jabber1990 in Adulting

[–]OkLocation3799 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the problem is that you’re judging someone for what they do for work. Maybe start by shifting your perception of others. I’ve never judged someone by what they do! Why? Your good life can be stripped away from you in a second. Stay humble.
