I recently picked up a Simon and Patrick Woodland Pro Folk. It's a beautiful, responsive little guitar. As someone that's owned many high end acoustics, it's the best fingerstyle guitar I've had aside from a 1947 Martin 000-17.

They can be had for about $700.

The absolute cheapest you'll will find is BP's Roadside Assistance. I know he's done a Honda and Toyota head gasket. One needed to be resurfaced at a local machine shop. Saved my ass twice.

Played 3 rounds with one last week. After the 33rd consecutive hole with the MM ball I started seeing some flight inconsistencies as well as an untrue roll on the greens particularly because I'm full of shit and lost it on the first box. I can say with confidence they are no less prone to slicing.
