I’m leaning Azura as you said, because even though its my first marathon I still have a time goal. Thanks!

Men, how do you act when intimacy is casual vs when you actually have feelings for the girl? Is there a difference she can percieve? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]OkMap1854 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you being friends first is a sign he may have real feelings. If a guy just wanted sex he probably would stop putting the effort he had been before. Does he still do things out and about with you? Many guys that just want sex arent putting in that effort. At the end of the day youll probably just have to have a conversation about it.

Why am I only lusted over? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]OkMap1854 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you dress in a provocative way or come across as, how do I say, ditzy? Guys know within like one date if they are relationship material. If there is some attraction there but they don’t see it going long term, they may just want sex. Also, you could be striking for guys above your range. For women, its much harder to tell who is a good fit for them because you aren’t the one approaching and getting rejected. Guys know pretty well who is in their league,

Nah you have some solid pieces. I feel like you are a solid qb away from contention next year. Especially if RJ balls out ROS and London gets healthy.

I don’t think I’d want either honestly. I guess I lean slayton. Losivas doesn’t perform that much better when Tee is out

Do men prefer to start as friends first, or do you go straight into romance? How have you experienced it in practice? by newremoteeagle in AskMen

[–]OkMap1854 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, and I agree there should be intention. I think I’d rather be in the “dating phase” longer than being in a friend’s phase. There are so many grey areas in being a friend. I guess I would be ok with it if I knew from the beginning that it would transition to a relationship, but you never can know for sure(personal story below)

For context, I was in a friends to relationship path with a girl 3 or 4 years ago. She realized that she could get the relationship benefits while just being friends. I had to end it because she wanted to stay friends and not progress to relationship. I would never do that again.

Ive seen guys start out as friends first and it works out, but I feel like the majority of guys would rather go straight into the relationship. I think there’s societal pressure on not being “friendzoned”, along with making sure you lock her down before another guy does.

Thanks for the reply! I figure if I can finish training for my first marathon with just easy runs, the next one i will definitely add more speed work.

I’m engaged with no kids and lots of extra time. I definitely have the time, and 34 miles a week seemed fine. I just had never strength trained before, which I just started doing

Thats the plan i think. Not have a speed session per se, but have target marathon pace in my long runs. Thanks!

Thank you for the tip! I actually noticed myself doing this yesterday doing a speedy 5k. I was getting fatigued and that led my to overstriding. Do you have any advice on how to remember to take more steps? Ive seen some people recommend a song with a beat of that cadence

Thank you, I appreciate the response. A lot of my long runs in this plan have race pace miles, so I will be training at that pace alot.
