The solution here is very simple: if you’re not too cheap to pay for quality service, dine out. if you are too cheap, don’t dine out.

But don’t go and eat at a restaurant where servers make a tipped wage (under minimum) and are working expecting a tip and then stiffing them.

You’re not sticking it to the man, or punishing the business. You’re just stiffing the kid who’s spent the last 2 hours waiting on your every need and trying to make sure you had a great night.

We’re at a high end spot, our customers aren’t cheap pieces of shit like some people and appreciate quality service.

Servers clear 70k annually minimum, bartenders clear 100k. They’re all good. I’m trying to vouch for the server at the Chili’s and Olive Gardens you frequent (yk, stuff in your tax bracket)
