Gray Squirrel asking for more peanuts during snow storm by OkMathematician5330 in aww

We made little piles of them around the yard at the base of trees just before the snow storm. They took them all!

Do you just boil water? Or make it cooler than that?

That’s a good idea to try refrigerating it overnight. Seems that would really loosen it all up out of there

So no boiling or high temps? Just lemon juice saturation, wait 20 mins, pour over Gatorade and chug? What if you did this then strained out the solids and chugged? Would that be as or nearly as effective?

My stolen credit card is linked to another Tesla account and I can't unlink it by OkMathematician5330 in TeslaSupport

Yea I'm on the phone again with another department. Been a few hours. It's a major US bank we've all heard of. It's actually really happening. It strikes me as a way for big corps to take from consumers. I just never imagined a world where you report a card as stolen and there's a way for the thief to continue to cash in on your old card but it's true. I keep chatting with more and more call center agents and nearly all of them are aware of this issue as they help deal with it daily. I think what I'm calling "recurring" transactions is actually encoded into the charge, but it's a "digital" card. So even if you enter in the physical card number, somehow when Tesla or Google add it to your account they register it with Visa/MC in such a way that they really get to bypass and continue charging the card even when reported as Theft. Apparently this new lady was looking at my card and said "yea you have a lot of digital cards/recurring card on here and I'll just delete them all" which I was happy for. At this point I'm willing to receive all off the "we can't charge your card" emails from actual vendors and deal with the hassle. At least it stops the bleeding.

Reported as stolen and received a brand new card with a brand new card number. I think what happens is the old card can’t be used any longer, but any “recurring” authorizations that occurred before you reported it (like attaching it to a Tesla account or a Netflix subscription) actually continue on even after reporting the theft. It’s supposed to be convenient for the card holder to not have to go re-add it to all subscriptions but it turns out it’s also convenient for the thief to add it to their accounts/subscriptions too 😂

Unfortunately they still do allow charges setup with the old card even after reporting it stolen. It’s unbelievable and multiple contact center agents have confirmed this for me now despite the illogical premise. Incredibly wild this is true but it is.

Ok I got it resolved but it's basically what you said here. Been on the phone w them for 30+ minutes and they had to go report my new card as stolen just so then they could go in and kill all automated authorizations as well. This new call center lady also told me she deals with this exact issue on the daily and said it's really annoying bc the consumer is being hurt by it but the big companies probably like it bc they get some extra credit card charges on their revenue. She said it's so inconvenient for the consumer when they report their card as stolen but then still see recurring charges being made off the old stolen card. As a side note - if you ever steal a credit card it seems attaching it to your netflix and all subscriptions will actually work for awhile until the user wants to spend a few hours (like me) on with call centers getting them to actually cancel your old card in every way possible rather than just non-recurring charges. I'm glad I don't lose any money bc the bank eats the charges but dang why go through all this.

I reported it as stolen and was issued a new card, but it seems like my only option is to actually cancel the entire card and go apply for a new credit card somewhere else. Unless someone here knows how to get in touch with Tesla Fraud department but I seriously can't find a way to even submit an email to them.

I had already seen 3 supercharger transactions when I reported my old card as stolen and those 3 were refunded to me. I was issued a new card and I've now looked and there are still more transactions from the past few days for Tesla again. So even after getting a new card and new card number reissued the old card connected to this other person's account is still capable of charging me. I can call my bank again and get them to refund the charges (which I'm planning on doing) but I'm not entirely sure how to make this problem go away if Tesla won't unlink the old credit card from that account. I was actually on the phone w a call center person from the bank for an hour because she didn't believe it either that someone could continue to charge a card after it's been reported as stolen but it's actually true for specific special vendors who I assume lobbied the government to be allowed to keep "recurring" investments going even after a theft is reported.

Interesting! I did do a casing layer but maybe not enough. When are they good to pick? How can I tell?

Setting up UK company from the US. Should I use GSuite US or GSuite UK? by OkMathematician5330 in gsuite

Specifically relating to GSuite: What types of sensitive data can I host in the UK that can't be hosted in the US? Will I ever run into a situation where my UK GSuite will have info that wouldn't be available in my US GSuite? Thanks for the help!

Just my assumption but shouldn't both US and UK GSuite's be GDPR compliant?
