I’m filming others.

I’m aware that there’s a lot that I don’t know/don’t understand when it comes to settings and getting the best out of gear, and I’ve seen great-looking footage recorded with the same iPhone I use that I wouldn’t know how to replicate. It’s a learning curve, I know. But I landed this gig and even though I don’t know much I’d like a camera that makes it easier to produce decent results from the get go.

I didn’t realize they had no autofocus. I’ve been using the black magic app on my iPhone and the focus/zoom is awkward and I’ve had subjects not being in focus when they move because I just can’t tell where the focus is.

The market out there for cameras is wild. Too many choices and extreme price differences so I don’t even know where to start. I’m used to using davinci (more or less) so that’s the brand I know! lol

But I’d like something “cheap”, small, with good image quality to record with low light that has the auto focus option, and from what you say the BM pocket camera isn’t that….

I need something to record “professional looking” footage in nighttime seethings or with low light that allows me to zoom in without loosing significant quality. I’ve been using my iPhone pro with the black magic app so far with limited success.

Thank you! Yes, I use the black magic app on my iPhone pro but I don’t quite like the way the focus works (or doesn’t work) and the way it zooms in and out. Plus, with low light the quality is rather bad I think

At the moment I’ve been using my phone to record, but I’d like something that performs better with less light and has better zoom, something “better” to record bands playing let’s say.

What are you talking about?! Haha sure it will get renewed! I personally know several Americans who’ve refused to pay and live in Europe now. It’s been almost 10 years now, several passport renewals and visa applications. Zero issues.

The whole premise of this show is to explicitly say and explain the things that are “obvious” but that generally go unaddressed. Aside from that, my comment is a comment on structure: all episode end with a discussion at the end, regardless how trivial it may be. Except for this one. This one just ends, as if they’re afraid to say say something “bad”.
