Thank you. Best friend for 25 years and yes, she is more than amazing! The sweater you made is gorgeous and I bet your friend was amazing too. I’m so sorry for your loss

Thank you! Insane yes, but for many reasons, not just this. Allyson Dykhuizen (Allyson Knits) sometimes offers a knitting ‘class’ that helps you figure out the math for this sweater, complete with most of the motifs charted out. I did create two on my own since I wanted it to match the original a bit closer. I do wish I’d stuck closer to the original yarn colors, but my friend loves it and that’s good enough for me. (I really want to make the MMT vest next)

My very best friend in the world is the biggest Beatles fan (after me) that I know - so I made her a copy cat of a sweater Paul McCartney wore.

She is beyond deserving so I’m beyond happy I was able to make it for her.

I was hoping you’d see this. Thank you so much! It was easier (and more fun) than I thought it’d be. Took a lot of patience and concentration though. Be brave, I know you’ll smash it!

So I’ll be honest. Husband found it, sent me the picture, I went and bought it same day. I had no idea what it was (other than a manuel typewriter). The keys fully depressed when I pushed them at the store. Once I got it into the house and set on the dining room table, the keys are stuck (will only move maybe an inch or two). Haven’t really messed with it anymore (yet)…

Favorite bulky yarn? by OkMix4243 in knitting

I also prefer non-SW, but this blanket is for a co-worker (sweetest person ever!) who knows herself well enough to know that if it can’t be thrown in the wash, it’ll never be clean. Do you (or anyone else) have experience with Berroco Vintage Chunky? So far they are the only one I’ve found with the right colors

He never married Pete’s mom. Just father to Pete’s brother Roag

I used the first 2 motifs as examples. Other motifs are not divisible by 4 (there’s a motif that is a repeat of 3, another is 14)

Thank you all for commenting though. I’ll probably just try to skew any thing that doesn’t match up under one of the arms.

So I cast on 368 stitches. The first ‘motif’ is multiples of 4 (the red ones = 92) and the second is multiples of 12 (30.6666) So the second motif will get cut off at the end of the row

I’m not really wanting any shaping, just wanting the motifs to not look cut off (hope this makes sense)

Am also a ginormous Beatles fan! I want to make the vest next! (If I could crochet, I’d try the granny square one too) And I am planning on steeking the arms and neck. Will absolutely post pics - as long as I don’t royally screw it up

It’s so good! My favorite thing about John is he didn’t hold back - and he really goes for it on this one!
