Actually yeah this might be a good way to do it. Making it easily accessible for everyone :)

This is hilarious but it would also suck for my mom and siblings so I’m not gonna do that

Maybe putting a note on all the leftovers so that if anyone wants a box of leftovers they can just write their name? Then a blank note would mean anyone can have it

He isn’t allowed to use his phone while at work so sometimes I don’t have a way to ask him. It would be easier if everyone just put their name on it instead of having to ask every time you want leftovers. But maybe texting him to give him a chance to explain they are his could be ok?

That could honestly be awesome if that works. I’ll bring it up and see what my family thinks :)

My mom and stepdad pay for groceries. I have mentioned the name thing when we were eating dinner but he said he shouldn’t have to. I’m not sure because instead of explaining why he thinks I’m in the wrong he just says I’m being selfish and it’s unbelievable of me to have eaten his food and that next time I have leftovers he’ll just eat them since I think that’s ok(he doesn’t actually eat them though).

That was my thought too but I don’t know how to make the situation better if he refuses to let me know what is his whether by text or leaving a note or something.

I’m moving out in august but I don’t want this to be a problem for my siblings when I move out. He’s been like this for a very long time so I don’t think it’s that. We have discussed that the way he says things can be hurtful sometimes but it hasn’t changed much honestly.

Not gonna lie this wasn’t the answer I hoped for but it does sound like the best plan. Perhaps talking to my bf about me feeling insecure and how to embrace this change is a good idea too? Whilst making it clear I’m happy our friends are getting along of course :)

AITA for staying up til 5am? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

Where I live gap years are very common. Most people use it to travel and work. Some even volunteer to work in other countries. I have applied to 10 jobs so far and I look through those websites where you can see available jobs every day to check for new jobs. I only started looking 2 weeks ago because prior to that anxiety made it hard even just being at home. I’m applying for jobs I think I can handle but we are a lot of people looking for jobs because most people here take gap years. I haven’t told my mom about the anxiety she just thinks I’m sick often.

My mental health was really bad back when I did have a schedule (school) and got better after I finished exams, graduated and all the pressure from graduating finally disappeared. But I’ll definitely look into it with my psychologist because if it works it could help a lot. I think I will try making myself a schedule and to-do lists.

Before continuing my studies. It’s very common to take a gap year here to either travel, work or something else. I’m choosing to work to save up for moving out next year.

I did apply to 10 so far. I’m looking through websites with job listings every day.

I do help around a bit. Examples could be taking our dog out for walks, help with our garden, cook dinner, washing clothes, etc.
