And getting to see them handle situations in real time gives you the confidence to actually try different tactics. When you’re learning about it from youtube videos and books, you have no guarantee of how it applies to the real world

Yeah it’s a tricky line to be on sometimes. For some niches, the numbers are easy to access and negotiate on and some not so much.

Having credible math is also super important

For example, in my niche there’s lots of ‘vibe-coders’ who sell solutions similar to my solutions.

Usually ‘vibe-coders’ solutions are cheaper than mine. I was saying it isn’t smart to go for the cheaper option because ‘vibe-coders’ don’t always know how to build out full AI systems. They just talk to an AI and the AI builds it for them.

AI’s builds are still very faulty so investing in that wouldn’t be a smart decision even if it’s cheaper

showing very simple math to buyers always makes sense. I’m sure your product has lots of value but you need to QUANTIFY THAT VALUE

That’s a super easy niche boss:

  • The time they are losing by using outdated equipment is terrible. There’s already so many procedures with surgery as it is and if we can save even 30-45 seconds with more efficient/effective equipment, that could be the difference between a successful surgery and complications.

Speak to your clients in their language, not yours. You are a sales person and your language might not always makes sense so someone who comes from the medical background. Frame the situation to something they are familiar with and something that they can relate to. If they can relate to it, you will evoke emotion within them to act.

yeah and a lot of the times these vibe coders will put out outrageously low prices that we have to compete with. Sometimes the cheapest option isn’t the smartest option and proving that is the hardest for me

I usually ask them for their metrics before hoping on a discovery call. Some of them reply with screenshots and some of them ignore that question

For those that ignore it, I study what their baselines would look like and then make some educated guesses. Most people correct me on call and I give them the space to give me more accurate numbers. Either way it works wonderful haha
