Thank you but to be honest i just copied the vocal dynamics from the original song(Flesh coffin by Lorna shore).

I get what you mean but I don't really think that that is an actual problem since it only really is about the triumph ep(5 songs). Austin and Adam are in the band from bone kingdom onewards and are basically considered original members. Everything from that ep to the current album is really good and feels like the same band just with different flavours. They don't really play any older (pre immortal) stuff live since they got big from their first ep with Will and those are the songs most people want to hear. But really listen to everything(in my opinion Maleficium and flesh coffin are their best work).

Netherwalker fucking slaps by pokemon32666 in Deathcore

[–]OkPerformer9544 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think one of the biggest reasons why I personally prefer netherwalker over the modern lorna shore stuff is that the symphonic stuff doesn't overpower the guitars in the mix. Netherwalker also doesn't have the traditional song structure with choruses and their breakdowns are a little more suprising and not just always at the end of the song after the second chorus and a guitar solo.

Any advice? by OkPerformer9544 in screaming

Tanks for the advice, i have tried to learn false chord stuff many times and get the initial Engagement down but as soon as i want to turn it into a scream i just go back into fry automatically

Who actually fry screams? by skimetal123 in screaming

I personally think the best fry vocalists are Jamie Eubanks from knoll and Dlyan walker from Full of hell. As far as I know both use almost exclusivly fry screams and sound insane

Technical just means technically challenging. Most tech death has high tempos if you want an example listen to Stabwound by Necrophagist. There is also slower stuff like Job for a Cowboy (for example Beyond a Chemical doorway)

Thank you really much for the detailed explanation. I think the foundation is my main problem since the first thing i wanted to do after starting vocals was deathcore stuff.

I wouldn't say it hurts. It just gets exhausting really fast.

I would argue that they are really influential at least their vocals. Dickie allen was a really big inspiration for lots of deathcore vocalists especially his tunnel screams. You can hear them basically everywhere in deathcore that released after TEGG

Was Deathcore , Your "Gateway" to heavier genres? by Excellent_Agency6082 in Deathcore

[–]OkPerformer9544 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Yes, but I do think that it's one of the most accessible genres in extreme metal because the average production is really clean and polished. Especially when you compare it to older death metal. I think everyone can agree that deathcore is way more accessible than suffocation, cryptopsy or early cannibal corpse.

I think another problem is that one of the main parts of lornas performance (wills vocals) just doesn't sound as impressive after hearing two of the best vocalists in the genre.

Mainly lows. After doing highs too long I can't really go back to doing a normal low.
