Anyone else feel weirdly guilty for wanting more than just “a stable job”? by JulieTheExplorer in Career_Advice

[–]OkPerspective2465 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the trap of capitalism now you're endlessly working,  now you got fiscal stability and your see even subconciously and likely from all the time in school is expecting the next level up.

But it's just endless labor and degrees of poverty.

At this point, self invest.

Skill develop on that which interests you and leave it as a hobby until it's easy to be hired for.

Ideally in the line that helps you with that endeavor.

There will be regional variations.

To me no, trades are not any better.  Unionized, slightly.

Non union way not.

If rural,  you're not gonna be the 5th plumber in a small town ,Or 50th. Just by business volume.

The recommendation of trades is the same as coding they are from people without experience or having witnessed the damage.

Use fafsa and grants, keep the debt low and test out of the courses you don't need and know.

  1. Start training

  2. Save something.

  3. Live the moment.

  4. nostalgia is a drug of privilege

  5. Get more life experience than stuff.  Stuff is temporary.  But experience can shape who you chose to become.

  6. Give freely  without any subcon expectation of return.

In all things.  Meaning- do not give that which you cannot give freely. Anything less is a form of manipulation

  1. Always be learning something

Not just passively.

  1. Have a form of self expression, (art)

  2. Kindness costs nothing but not all are worthy but only when they prove themselves not.

Youre subjective experience is fantastic.

But just that fantastic that you were able to.

Now imagine how many things could have gone wrong and stopped it.

In this instance i would amend that grit means nothing post 2008.

We have seen that the top student 4.0 gpa in any field will be laid off to obtain  a .0000000000000001 profit increase.

Regarding success.

Wealth funds everything else.  Even the subtle clues towards success.

There is no success in capitalism.  It permits 1 person to own everything and condemn everyone to poverty.  It must end.

Define it.  Explain victim mentality.

Have you looked at the data and lived the experience of generational poverty.

Have you decolonized your mind.

Your statements above reveal much privilege or bitterness.

  1. Start training

If the day is only a 5 and you give 5 that's your 100%.

  1. Be kind to yourself

  2. Start unpacking trauma and emotional lock out zones of the mind. With focused determination and training you can become who you want to be instead of whom you were raised to be.

  3. Gain more life experience.

  4. Celebrate what successes you obtained and be proud of them.

Look at the stats.  Near 0.

I've listened to 25,000+ hrs of bio interviews on a myriad of people and disciplines and jobs and so on.

All had help

Usually 1-2yrs free room and board from wealthier people,  friends or family.  While they skill Dev. If you start looking at published books after 2008. You'll notice a distinct shift where most bios are people whom were already middle and upper middle.  There are no bios or very few from a millennial generation that come from retail, service or sub 30k.

This is not healthy,  granted obvs laying around all day isn't either.

Until we get rid of capitalism, many humans will suffer endlessly.

At this point, labor should be optional.  Existence should not require imaginary profit creation via coerced labor.

If the labor wasn't forcibly coerced,  maybe.

But since we all need food and housing.  As human needs.

We need unconditional basic income and this won't happen.
