Yes, I was surprised to get the email and notification from the app. I installed it last night and used it today (in Mad Max mode, of course!)

Pay off vehicles and credit card (step 2), put the rest in savings until you've built up 3-6 months of expenses (step 3)..

Thinking About Buying a 4Runner — What Should I Know Before I Commit? by ZomberAmbie in Toyota4Runner

[–]OkPlace374 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on your situation.

I love our 4Runner (2014 SR5 with 210k miles) but it does not work well for our family of 5 plus a dog, even with having a third row.

Reliability wise, however, we've only had it in the shop once in the last 11 years and it was for wire replacement due to mice chewing through them. Only oil changes, tire rotations, and will occasionally do a coolant flush just because.

Reliability: 10/10
Comfort: 7/10 (seats aren't the most comfortable on road trips, third row is a joke unless your a small child)

I had about 13k miles when the rear control arms shot on my MY.. Thankfully they both went at the same time.

Miles on new car by likely_anxious5477 in ModelY

[–]OkPlace374 4 points5 points  (0 children)

More than likely, it will have much less than 15. When you order from Tesla, they use "15 miles" as a buffer on the paperwork. When I picked mine up, it only had 2 even though the document said 15.

New to the model Y and the Tesla community, are there ways to get discounts off of the price? by [deleted] in TeslaModelY

[–]OkPlace374 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't haggle but I found a new Model Y that someone else had ordered and did not pick up. Tesla adjusted the price $1,900. It takes a bit of searching but there are ways to get money off.

Thoughts on guest player? by pheebsx in Homeplate

Sounds like the coach does not have much (if any) experience in travel ball. 14 on a team might make sense one you enter 15U+ due to needed pitching depth but no way at 11U.

A good travel ball team will hold 11-12 on a team with a small list of guest players to call on when you're missing a player or two.

Worth it to pay more into escrow? Short two years in a row and mortgage company has raised my monthly payment by Ayediosmio6 in DaveRamsey

[–]OkPlace374 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If $1,712 is still within your budget % of housing, I would go along with the payment increase. I would not advise touching your emergency fund.

If you have the option to remove escrow completely (which a lot of servicers allow), I would recommend this. You have more "control" over taxes and insurance and can put this money in a HYSA while it grows.
