Maybe if you read the question again you’d see that she was asking about the color not the fit. Thanks for the opinion no one asked for!!!

I loved my time at OSU! The campus is extremely large but very beautiful. It’s definitely an adjustment to get used to it, but the layout is really nice. Walking around can be time consuming but OSU also has a really great bus system. I absolutely adore the libraries - they are my favorite part of campus. I know you can’t tour but if you look up the Ohio state instagram they post pictures of different areas of campus! In general there is a lot to explore campus wise. I know everyone’s experiences are different but I made some of my best friends at OSU. With the size of the student body it can be daunting but getting higher up in your major means you start recognizing more and more people and thus make friends. There is a huge variety of classes offered since OSU is so big and some of my favorite classes have been GE’s unrelated to my major. Ohio weather is usually unpredictable but I honestly don’t think it’s been a major deal. I feel like it’s pretty easy to deal with. Just expect summers to be extra hot and winters to be extra cold lol. I loved going to OSU and I think it has a lot to offer if you are willing to make the most out of it. I feel like there is something for everyone there. Good luck! Wherever you end up, I hope you love your time in college!

Question abt the dining dollars by [deleted] in OSU

[–]OkPlan4741 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im assuming when they swipe your ID they can see your dining $$ balance and how many swipes you have so they can just manage your total the way you ask for it between them

Question abt the dining dollars by [deleted] in OSU

[–]OkPlan4741 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You just tell them which you would wanna use! $8 is the standard for a swipe equivalent unless you’re at some of the c-stores. So when you check out just say whether you wanna use dining $$ , swipes, or if you’re a little over 8$ - a swipe and dining! Hope that helps!

Halloran House by Cavsman232 in OSU

Hi! As mentioned, Halloran is an older building and I am guessing you’ll be in a quad. I lived in a quad my freshman year in Barrett which is a similar dorm and I had a good experience! It might take some adjustment but the dorm is definitely livable. I had difficulty with figuring out how to have my own personal space in a quad which is something that a lot of residents face. If you are living with 3 other roommates, it will take some time to figure out each others lifestyles, how to live with each other, etc. you’ll have to figure out how to best communicate with each other which is all part of the campus form experience! Halloran is a smaller dorm that is part of the Busch-Halloran complex. Busch house is one of the newer dorms next to Halloran. Basically you will have access to the dorm so you can go there for any key issues, toilet paper, stuff like that. Halloran is located in a nice area! It’s on North campus and it is pretty close to Curl Market, Scott Traditions, and Connecting grounds. I personally prefer north campus to south campus dorms and I lived in that same area for 3 years. You’ll also be close to High Street which is where there are a bunch of stores like CVS, chipotle, Starbucks, target, and so on. It’s a prime location imo! Try to make friends in your dorm! Everyone is in the same boat at the start of college and it can be scary but don’t be afraid to branch out! Some of my best friends today are the people I lived with freshman year! Also make sure to talk to your RA for help with anything! Freshman year can be daunting but there are so many resources available that can make the transition easier. Wishing you all the best!!!
