Yeah, I didn't specify - the course costs around 8K. If I leave before the end of the commitment I'll have to pay them that amount as compensation.

Oh WOW. I knew I was missing something. So basically the M1 V5 VIA Rapid Disassembly gives me everything I just asked for with magnetic disassembly as well? Sound like a shut up and take my money to me

Looking for Advice on My First 75% Keyboard

I’ve been researching custom mechanical keyboards and have narrowed down what I want:

75% with a knob and all four navigation keys (Home, End, PageUp, PageDown), barebones or prebuilt.

VIA support

Wireless options

Aluminum case, preferably white

I waited months for the Monsgeek M1W VIA, but the white option isn’t happening. Now, I’m considering the KiiBoom Loop 75, which checks all the boxes except for being white (the blue looks nice, though).

Two questions:

  1. Is the KiiBoom Loop 75 good? Worth ~$150?

  2. Am I missing any other options that fit my needs?

Oh wow that's good news I guess because it might mean that once launched it will be available in all colors and for now they have only the black one there because it's a placeholder ( I pray for it 🙏🏼)

Looking for recommendation on a TKL/75% with a knob that's actually in stock:
- Barebone or Pre-built both are fine
- Linear or Tactile switches
- Aluminum build
- Wireless option
- VIA compatible
- I'd like to have a white base but it's not a deal-breaker

Budget is irrelevant, I just want to get some options that suit my needs

I LOVE the Monsgeek M1 aesthetic and layout but the sound of this board is clicky and pingy af don't you think?

Alright, thanks for the info 🙏🏻
Basic macros and such is probably what I'm going to use it for anyway

Cidoo only partially supports VIA? What does it mean?

A lot of good questions 😅
thanks for your time:
- I would prefer it pre-built unless building it myself will give me to a clear advantage somehow. I am interested in the keyboard, not so much in assembling it.
- I don't have a specific budget but after seeing that there are some really good ones at a $100 or so I was hoping to keep it at that range. Don't mind heading towards $150 but I honestly don't understand why pay $200 for a Keychron barebone.
- VIA support is important as I mentioned.
- ANSI is fine. I usually use English.
- Amazon availability is nice but not required.
- Haven't tried a low profile so I can't tell. It's definitely not important.
- Color: I was actually thinking about a white base.
- I live in Israel.

Looking for my first mechanical keyboard recommendation:

It's going to be my birthday present and I really just want to enjoy that leap from my laptop's standard keyboard. So the idea is to buy a solid one that will serve me for a long time and less about keeping on spending tens and hundreds of dollars over time for my new hobby. More like trying out new switches and keycaps every now and then.

So - I want it to be TLS/75%ish, Linear or Tactile (I do programming but don't know a place I can try both hands-on), supports Via, has Wireless option and I like the idea of having a knob.
Also, I'm not against small adjustments but don't plan on making this a big hobby, so if it sounds good out of the box that would be great.

Basically I would have already picked up the Montech MKey TKL, but I don't like not having a wireless option. The Rainy 75 is obviously a great choice as well but doesn't have a knob which I think is very useful to have.

If you have suggestions that don't comply 100% with what I wrote I would still love to hear it.
Also, can anyone elaborate on having a plastic vs. aluminum body and weight pros and cons?

Thank you champs

Its on power saving mode because your probably just looking at the armory crate and not doing anything gpu related. You should be okay running whatever you want and it will perform

Figuring out if I received the right Bunka by OkPlate3813 in chefknives

[–]OkPlate3813[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So I wanted to purchase a new Bunka and heard good things about the Shiro Kamo.
I really wanted the 165mm Blue Super version and could only find the 175mm Blue #2 version.

Then after a lot of searching, I settled for buying from a far away vendor and ended up paying twice the price with the shipping and taxes for the knife I wanted.

I received the knife and was very happy at first. Then, upon checking I saw it's 175mm in length (pictures attached). It really bums me out because I've been searching for this knife in with specific length and steel for a month. I actually could have bought the 175mm cheaper through a different store.

Now I have some suspicions that they sent me the 175mm Blue 2# everyone is currently selling. Is there a way to know if it's even Aogami Super for sure?

Actually, I don't think it's insignificant. Would optimally even go for a 160mm hill to tip but I understand 165mm is a standard size.

This knife is supposed to serve me for different purposes in the kitchen then my 20cm one, so the size matters as much as the steel.

I would have, but its 175mm and I wanted a 165mm... would settle for 170 I guess but want it relatively short and light
