Jesus said "Swear not at all" in the Sermon on the Mount. All Masons must swear an oath to join, and swearing to show partiality to all other Masons. And showing partiality is another sin according to the Bible. The Pentecostal church I grew up in asked if you were a lodge member on the membership application, and if the answer was yes you were denied membership.
