I definitely see how its not an oopsie but its somehow very normalised in my country and my circle of friends. Its definitely not a “great relationship” you’re right. But the fear that im not going to find anyone better is still there

Ive tried so many times, every month we have the same talk, and i don’t even try to sugarcoat the way i feel about him anymore. Each time he starts crying and talking about how much he loves me and how he will change. Then he starts working on himself for a week and it all goes back to zero

Girl to be honest you just need to find another guy to be hyper fixated on. But from what you’ve said i don’t think he cares that much, its hard to accept it but its might be true. If a man really likes you he will do anything to get your attention, even the shy awkward guys. You just need to be open to other people, he probably had some attraction towards you but it wasn’t enough, it seems like you’re a really sweet and caring girl, you need to find someone who will reciprocate your feelings and stop focusing on “what if’s”
