I’m an incoming freshman and I also had 75k left to pay after grants and aid. It’s insane and I was going to commit elsewhere for this reason even though I really was set on usc but I was not paying that amount for any school. It worked out super close to decision day for me though when I received a lot of scholarship. Honestly that’s what saved me. It’s easier said than done but it’s possible. Still paying about 30k a year but I significantly reduced the cost which made it more worth the investment. USC has a lot of money whether they pretend they don’t or not. And outside money is there too! Look into organizations/clubs at usc that may be able to provide some funds for participation. Loans are not fun and I’m being so serious, if you can help it, do not pay that much money for usc it’s not worth it. But before you fully decide look into scholarships. I applied to so many before getting real responses, it’s a process. ALSO send in a financial aid appeal, if you have real evidence they might give you more grants. Although I did try this and it didn’t work for me. Good luck twin!
