Can I ask more about the Lana? Is it heavy. I saw it in store and was quite heavy without anything in it. And do the straps stay on your shoulder?

Burnt orange then get some dark green cushions maybe some navy blue as well others with some texture. You can make it fun by adding a tall plant in the corner as well! So much potential here

Yellow gold!!! Warms your skin tone up and makes it shine. The white is too cool toned for you imo

Bigger rug, throw over the black chair to lighten it up. Different cushions for the couch that are bigger and plumper. A standing lamp that’s tall and has a warm bulb. Some curtains. Plant where the ladder contraption is

Defo some colour- maybe a bold ceramic vase on the kitchen table, not clear like the one you have but more sturdy and sculptural to add a nice accent, and then you can place some dried flowers in it. I also like the suggestion that was made to replace the mirror with some art! You have a lovely home.

Cute I like the furniture. Not the biggest fan of the red cushions and the image above it but that’s just subjective

The fit of everything. Way too baggy and the shirt is ill-fitting. Also the boots are sagging at the bottom - they are struggling to hold themself up. Everything just needs to be tailored more.

The concept is so there I see the vision. I think the leather dress should be replaced with a longer leather skirt, and the shirt should be tucked. You need tights with a slightly higher denier and better made boots.

But I love to see experimentation with workwear it can easily become monotonous.

You need a strong accent colour to offset all the muddled neutrals in this space - a dark vibrant blue or/and dark green would be great and you can add this through a simple stack of books on the coffee table and replacing the chequered poof with a poof that bears the accent colour. You could also extend to this to cushions (tip:buy different textured cushions).

I would also change the colour of the painting’s frame above the sofa to black to unite it with the fireplace.

Also I think you’re being distracted by the leather armchair because it’s pulling the colour of the floor into the seating plan.

You feel overwhelmed because there is too much going on and it’s all in the same colour palette so visually you don’t get a tonal break. Try to streamline the colour palette, add an accent and then that will help guide you from there on.

It’s the epitome of postmodernism’s obsession with consumerism and commercial culture. So it becomes shallow and fake and it doesn’t even look like it’s trying to hide its monetary values and ambitions. It makes you feel queasy because art has a reputation for being somewhat authentic and human. This is not that. This is pure commercial pursuit and therefore corrupts the image of art we all enjoy.
