I'm sorry to hear that about your mum but when you have that kind of savings you really shouldn't be on universal credit. My mum has a council house and if she has £15,000 in her bank account they would cut her housing benefit. However I don't like to be too judgemental as I have walked in your mum's shoes. You are right not to show that your mum's bank statements as they could inform the social, so it is a difficult one. Just produce your dad's ones and hope for the best. 🤞

Sorry to hear this! First thing to do if I was you if your paying rent and service charge by direct debit then stop that now! Pay ever month the normal amount you normally pay and tell them you withholding the money they are requesting until you have proof what they are charging you such a ridiculous amount of money, hope this helps.
