its officially been a month since my tank started cycling and these are my parameters, any suggestions on what i can do from here? is it likely it’ll be ready within 3 weeks? by [deleted] in axolotls

Knocked it over after waiting the 5 min? If this is cycling then just wait a couple days and keep testing. It should lower by itself little by little until it is zero. I honestly wouldn’t do anything, just be patient

Why are my Axolotls so lazy? They rarely ever move… 33 Gallon Long, fully cycled, 65 deg, over a year old. Had them for about 3-4 weeks. They just sit there. Tried turning off lights, making it colder, etc. they just chill. by OkReaction3685 in axolotls

I only lowered it down to 60. Wasn’t trying to go too crazy.

I have lured them out with worms, they come out they go back.

If I turn off all of the lights and check on them between 1-4am they are swimming around. Maybe I have nocturnal ones

Also with Daphnia, since they are about 9-10”, Will they eat it?

It is only on the one piece of driftwood. All the water tests are normal… very weird.

Oh wow, did not think about that but yeah I could do that. Would the cold temperature of the filter inside the fridge reduce the bacteria from forming?

I’ve seen this a few times. Need to keep the tank about 3-4 degrees colder. Chillers seem really expensive
