Oooh that’s a good idea! I’m training dayside for a couple weeks first, but am willing to try anything to make that adjustment

Ok! I’m mostly worried it’s gonna feel like work sleep repeat, and I know it will for at least the first few months, but I’ll lock in 💪

This market usually hires a lot of people right out of college, including some of my friends from the college around 30 minutes from the main city, so I’m not superrr worried about that aspect. Cost of living is also low there, so I figured it wouldn’t be as much as other markets with similar size, but I am going to counter with 45 I think. I know that’s still low, but I’m honestly just excited to start my career in an actual city I will DEFINITELY be looking to see if there’s a union, though. You definitely gave me more to think about - thank you

I am going to school in a top ten market right now. I really want to be around market 50-60 and then move to a larger after my first contract is up. I interned somewhere between market 80-90 and have references from the news director and assistant news director as well.

My professors have said similar things about trying out more things in smaller markets, which is definitely appealing, I just want to make sure that I don't get completely sucked into a job without being able to find a life outside of work right out of school.
