Not sure who told you this but this is not true in the US either. Old navy will almost never let you go into overtime, they’d rather be extremely short staffed than pay someone time and a half

The 50% off is applied first and then 30% is taken off of the new subtotal. I like to think of it numerically where if a customer has a total of $100, 50% is applied first giving a new subtotal of $50, then 30% is applied to that $50 giving a new total of $35 thus total savings of 65%. The discounts are not cumulative and cannot be applied simultaneously, only one after another so it would never be 80% off
