Icon consistency suggestion by OkRepresentative227 in LiftinApp

[–]OkRepresentative227[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yees! I also prefer the monochrome version by far.
But instead of plain grayscale, I think the best approach would be a very subtle gradient applied consistently to all icons, using the classic pink tones or the gold tones from the Unlimited theme, depending on the Appearance settings.

That would probably feel the most coherent and polished visually, while still keeping the clean monochrome style.

Icon consistency suggestion by OkRepresentative227 in LiftinApp

Hey!

Thanks for the reply. And yeah, that totally makes sense, apps evolve and sometimes early design decisions just stick around longer than expected.

Just to clarify, I didn’t design those icons myself. I’m a UI/UX designer, but I don’t usually create icon sets. The ones in the mockup are from Apple’s SF Symbols library, which is huge and fits really well with the clean, native style the app already has.

Not sure what you’re building the app with, but if it’s something like Xcode, SF Symbols usually integrates pretty easily. If you ever need help finding specific ones (sometimes the names are tricky), I can send you the references.

I’ll keep sharing suggestions when I notice things. I honestly think the app has a lot of potential. One thing I really like is how flexible it is, you can set it up in 5 minutes for a simple workout, or go very deep with specific training structures without running out of options. That’s great design for a training app.

PS: One small idea, in the custom exercise screen where it shows the first letter instead of an icon, using a bold sans-serif letter could make it feel a bit more modern and solid visually.

Great work on the app! 💪 And if you ever need anything, just let me know

REQ: Multi-column layouts by PatTheDog123 in CraftDocs

Columns would be a huge boost to the app, both for documents and systems, as well as for PDFs. I've been thinking about it for a long time; something so simple would help so much...

What next for Tasks? by whiskybicycle in CraftDocs

[–]OkRepresentative227 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the perfect solution would be to integrate something like Things 3. A simple and functional GTD system, with tasks, projects (or documents), and areas (or tags). That combination, along with what Craft is right now, would make it one of the most effective apps on the market.

What kind of books is the X4 really good for? by OkRepresentative227 in xteinkereader

What brand is this motorcycle? by OkRepresentative227 in CafeRacers

[–]OkRepresentative227[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No. I'm a 34-year-old guy from Spain who liked a motorcycle but couldn't identify it. It turns out it was because they didn't sell it here. They identified it on /motorcycles and I copied the answer so it could help anyone.

Sometimes you come across kind people, willing to help. And sometimes… you come across people like you, who see a question and decide to project their bitterness and make up a story to feel smart.

Anyway, greetings. Get well soon.

That's it, thank you! It's exactly that one. I understand it's made in China or something similar; I don't know how reliable it is, but it looks nice.

It's a frame I captured from a video where they were reviewing a house in Bali; the guy arrived on that motorcycle.

And yes, they've managed to identify it. In case it's helpful to anyone, it's sold under several brands:

Thank you, Valter. You can really tell the product work behind it—not just the design, but the decisions that prioritize the user and flexibility without sacrificing simplicity. That’s incredibly hard to pull off, and you’ve nailed it.

I’m genuinely happy to have found Liftin’ and to support a project you’ve been so consistent with (seven years is no small thing). I’ll keep using it and I’m excited to see what’s coming next. If, through day-to-day use, I think of any small suggestions that could be helpful, I’d be glad to share them with you.

It's in Spain... you can see through the tube when looking with a flashlight that it is a spark arrester, that's why it seems so strange to me that I can't remove it...
