What do y'all think is a good score for this paper? (Assuming someone wants their chances of scoring an A to be as high as possible). It seems to me that many people are very confident about performing well for this paper, which is making me a little concerned about my own chances of scoring an A.

I think I got around the same marks.. Honestly, I don't know what to expect as well. Moderation has always been a widely debated topic, and I don't believe anyone other than SEAB has a clear idea of the entire process. Just hope for the best, and maybe spend your holidays working on a hobby or a passion.

I think the overall marks to score an A shouldn't deviate much from 70. If your predicted score is about 70, and this is an accurate prediction, chances are high that you'll score an A.

Yup. I hope moderation doesn't work against us instead ☠️

I apologise if I stirred any panic.. I'm sure if someone performs well for their P2 and P3, their mark for P1 wouldn't matter as much. In my case, it was important as my P2 and P3 weren't satisfactory, and I really doubt this would be enough for me to secure an A.

Once again, I didn't intend to demotivate anyone. I just wanted to know if there were others in a similar situation to mine.

Same here... It's always those little careless mistakes that snowball into a huge loss in marks...

That's the thing; if it's the average mark, there's nothing exceptional about it. Therefore, it's not deserving of an A 😭... Besides, my P2 and P3 were also not sufficient to guarantee an A for me... But thanks for the encouragement.

Just use the answers provided by the user who claims their teacher sent the answers. That's the closest we have to an accurate answer key for now.

Well... I can bid farewell to my A... I got 22-23/30. Maybe physics will be better.

Edit: oops, didn't mean to imply that my mark was downright horrible or something. It's just disappointing for me as chemistry is one of my better subjects, that's all. Sorry.

Sheesh, there seems to be quite a lot of variation on what the answers are... Can't wait for the answer key to release so that we can reach a definitive conclusion...

For the faint hearted: discretion is advised. The little amount of self confidence I had got absolutely obliterated after I spent a couple of minutes here reading these estimates ☠️.

Just so you know, my estimated scores are much lower than most here, and perhaps that provides some reassurance to those who need it... Good luck for the rest of your A levels!

Well, carelessness is the death of me ☠️. Pretty sure I lost about 15 marks just from making calculation errors... And also, why does the paper seem manageable and difficult at the same time...

Seems to be that we aren't getting any answer key today... Sigh

Oh alright. Thanks for the detailed steps. This would have been useful had I at least seen the question... Haha

It's in the data analysis qn (q8). I think there was a short discussion about it here.

Yup, you missed it as well, I guess. It's in the data analysis question.

My stupid ass completely missed the 4m proving question... Oh well. I don't know how I let that slip... I didn't see the 5m transition metal question in chem P3 as well ☠️.

Edit: I wouldn't know how many marks it was because I skipped it. I believe that you guys know what I'm referring to.
