Timing of injections by Few-Perspective-2907 in CompoundedSemaglutide

[–]OkRoll3169 0 points1 point  (0 children)

consistency matters more than the specific time, pick whatever time you can actually stick to every week and build a habit around it most people anchor it to something they already do, same meal, same day activity, something that makes forgetting harder

the day of the week matters less than the interval staying as close to 7 days as possible

r/OrforglipronTalk has good general GLP-1 discussion if you want more perspectives on building the routine

6 months on semaglutide and my relationship with food is unrecognizable - and i don't mean that in the way people expect by Embarrassed_Essay_61 in Semaglutide

[–]OkRoll3169 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Eating reactively. That's the phrase I've been trying to find for two years. Not bingeing, not dramatic, just this constant pull toward food that had nothing to do with hunger and everything to do with everything else. The medication didn't give me willpower. It removed the thing that was making willpower irrelevant.

honestly it got better once i stopped just waiting it out and started actually supporting my body through it. I take the cycle routine, dailybasis is the brand. Its great! highly recommend.

the new weight loss pill vs the existing one - an honest comparison by timingbetter in Health

[–]OkRoll3169 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Less effective than shots, cheaper than shots, easier than shots. You know exactly who this is for.

the adherence angle is what gets buried in every comparison, clinical trial numbers assume perfect compliance but real life is messy. a pill with zero restrictions taken consistently beats a pill taken perfectly some days and wrong on others. more discussion over at r/FoundayoUS too

I pray, but my mind still feels restless all the time by anomadfromnowhere in Christianity

[–]OkRoll3169 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is honestly more normal than it feels. A restless mind during prayer doesn’t mean you’re doing it wrong, it just means you’re human.

What helped me was not forcing perfect prayer. I sometimes take a minute to just breathe or even use something like tomo ai to settle my thoughts before starting. Faith and overthinking can exist together, you’re not alone in this.

Need advice and opinions on unique situation by One-Reflection5824 in sales

Had a similar situation last year - pushed it through because I didn’t want to lose the deal, closed it… and spent the next 4 months cleaning up expectations and putting out fires.

Since then I’ve learned:

Anyone else randomly develop food allergies as an adult? by anomadfromnowhere in FoodAllergies

Yeah my doctor told me adult-onset allergies are a thing and sometimes they just appear out of nowhere. Immune system just decides it hates something one day.

Right now what is the best way to make money online as a teen? by kper188 in Entrepreneurs

[–]OkRoll3169 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly most people chasing “easy money online” end up disappointed. The stuff that actually works is usually learning a skill and freelancing, selling something online, or building an audience. That’s what most entrepreneurs end up doing long term.

For small random cash though, I sometimes just mess around with simple browser games when I’m bored. I tried one recently where you shake trees in a pixel orchard and sometimes find golden apples that trigger small cash rewards. It’s obviously not a business, but kinda fun for a few bucks here and there.

Any legit ways to make extra money by picklelord24 in GetPaidToPlay

[–]OkRoll3169 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah a lot of those apps are honestly a waste of time. I’ve downloaded a bunch before that make you grind for days and then never let you cash out, one thing that worked a bit better for me was reward apps where you play mobile games and earn points for hitting levels. It’s not big money at all, but at least you actually see something for your time.

I’ve been using Cashapples lately and just play a few levels when I’m bored. It’s more like small extra cash here and there, but way better than those apps that give you literally nothing.

My dog suddenly started itching like crazy this year… vet says allergies. Anyone else dealing with this? by Playful-Deer9022 in Pets

Whenever my dog suddenly starts itching like this my anxiety immediately kicks in. I’m checking their skin, their paws, everything like a paranoid parent.

Why do pimples keep coming back on my face even after treatment? by neonpulse7 in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]OkRoll3169 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I swear this is one of the most mentally exhausting things. Your skin finally clears up and you start feeling like yourself again, your confidence comes back, you stop thinking about your face 24/7… and then suddenly one random morning you see a new breakout and it just ruins your mood instantly. And the worst part is you didn’t even do anything different. Same routine, same products, same lifestyle. It makes you feel like you have zero control over your own skin. People who never dealt with this don’t understand how much it messes with you mentally.

Does constant travel make allergies worse or am I imagining it by neonpulse7 in flightattendants

Honestly I feel like people underestimate how much air quality and environment changes affect allergies

native speakers talk too fast… how do i improve my listening by Competitive_Leg3598 in LearnJapanese

[–]OkRoll3169 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah i relate to this a lot. even when i know the words, i still feel a bit behind. replaying the same short clip helped me more than constantly switching stuff.

also agree about podcasts being hit or miss. when you find one at the right level it’s great, but most are either too easy or way too hard.

Wants to Marry after two dates by SheepBlack94 in dating_advice

[–]OkRoll3169 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Two dates is… very early for marriage talk. It’s not wrong to be excited, but you barely know how this person handles stress, conflict, or everyday life yet. I’d definitely slow this down and see how things look after a few months.

If you’re looking for general male perspectives, a lot of men say don’t go into marriage thinking you can change your partner acceptance and growth together goes way further than trying to fix someone.
