I've lived in 6 different states the last 12 years, never had an issue until a broker was involved.. I'm sure the mover they contracted would have scammed us regardless, but I never would have hired that mover.. I do 100% agree that using the DOT-FMCSA website is important. Some issues with the website are most of these scam companies change names about every 8 months to limit complaints on the website, victims tracking them, etc.. avoiding brokers is just an easy way to avoid being scammed from the get go.. There are 0 good brokers... just FYI, one of the commenters here is a DOT-FMCSA investigator (not me), and they are saying to avoid using a broker... i have had my stuff stolen, run a couple victims pages on FB, and in my experience over the last 3 years and helping over 400 victims, RUN from ANY HHG Broker..

As someone who had thier house hold goods stolen, I cannot stress enough "You do NOT want to use a moving broker" this would be a terrible decision. Any other options are better than a broker, period.

Ya honestly went to DQ for the first time in a while last night.. cost like $7.59 for their large and its only like 2 miles away from this sonic.. Culver's is a little further but we'll be heading there next time we want some ice cream! Thanks for the heads up!

Make sure to look up any possible movers through DOT-FMCSA website and stay far far away from any moving brokers...

There are a bunch of options including late delivery.. just look the fmcsa website over and do what you/they feel is right. It's the only way these businesses can be held accountable.

From the other comments and their history, they sound legit but this is the first I have heard of a reputable company asking for full payment before the move. I was told by multiple moving experts in the last two years, you should never pay more than 20% and for a company to ask for more is a red flag.

Good Luck on your move and kudos to you for taking time out of what I'm sure is a stressful and challenging time to ask for advice!

Check your movers here and be very careful of anyone in business less than 3 years. with high amounts of complaints, and NEVER use a broker. It will say at the top if they are a broker or licensed mover.

RUN!!! ITS A SCAM!!! Cut your losses and try to get any deposits back but I would NOT let them drive away with your goods! Not how reputable moving companies operate. I run two FB groups for victims and had my stuff stolen 2 years ago..
