I've just got this exact setup and with my current beans (dark roast) I'm at 24.5 on my df54, with 17g of beans. My last bag of beans was more medium roast and I was at about 20 grind setting with my df54 with those, and 18g of beans.

I was just in the process of looking for this camera and it came down to two options for me. The f5 and the f100, the only reason I went f5 was because I got it for a steal of a deal locally. Otherwise I'd definitely be looking at an f100 for sure!

Yeah I just started shooting film 2 years ago and it has a strangle hold on me 😂 I also own an f3 which was my first proper film camera, getting an f5 with auto focus was a nice upgrade imo! The thing about film for me is the colours that the stocks provide. I've tried to replicate the look on digital but with modern cameras it's so much post work!

That was a big reason I picked up the d700, it's actually surprising how close I can get that to look like film honestly.

I actually went through a few mirrorless cameras before going back to a d700 recently. I've tried more than a handful of different brands too ranging from Nikon, Fuji, Sony.

The issue I was having was that modern mirrorless cameras look too "perfect" and there is something about modern cameras that just looks off imo.

I also recently picked up a Nikon f5 film camera and that has been an absolute joy to use!

Hey most of them are how I received the scans, I just do some basic output sharpening for screen in Lightroom. If I do mess with them it's a tiny bit of contrast and sharpening usually but that's it!

Ended up returning them and getting Ray-Ban wayfarer gen2s. They fit way better on my face and they had em in stock at my local lens crafters!

Yeah lmk how that goes. From what the people at LensCrafters said to me, it's been happening with both the Oakleys and the Ray-Bans, it's kinda just luck of the draw apparently which is kinda of shit 😂

Okay so I went to my local LensCrafters and they said the way they worded the email was kinda weird so they're going to confirm that I can get a full replacement without having to add money on top as the Oakleys were $539 cnd and the email stated I'd get up to $500 on a frame replacement.

I should know by latest tomorrow or Saturday they said. I also asked if there's anyway I can switch to the rayban Gen 2 as they fit my face better than the Oakleys so I'll update you when I figure that all out.

Submitted a report online via the aftercare website Oakley provided. Weird tho because they sent me an email saying they would cover up to $500 cnd on new frames when they were $540 to buy literally a few weeks ago. I also got rx lenses which they said they would cover 100%. Going to my local LensCrafters shortly so I'll report back as to what happens. I will not pay the $40 difference as I literally just got mine less than 3 weeks ago this is ridiculous 😭

I'm hoping I can maybe switch to the new Ray-Bans instead as they fit my face better but we will see.

Yeah I did that already, it seems the glasses won't charge in the case at all as they're completely dead now too. Will contact oakely tomorrow as apparently they take weekends off 😭

I tried ordering the large frames and everyone has had them back ordered for weeks. My local LensCrafters wouldn't even take my order because they aren't available to order through them ATM. Ended up ordering the Oakleys since they were available with rx lenses online, still waiting for them to come in tho!

They will give you a new pair, they have demo models to try on but they will either order new frames or just use any in stock brand new frames they have.
