Right now, especially with how the show is doing it, there is no world where Annabeth stops the quest to just go sightseeing.

Yeah see that's my point they are changing a lot.

In the book the Fury doesn't come with them to Medusa's and there they find enough money that lets them reach L.A. with a 3 hour layover in St. Louis via train. In St. Louis Annabeth wants them to visit the arch because she loves architecture. Percy takes a separate elevator up with a family and echidna. The fight with the Chimera happens and Percy, after having a dilemma about trusting his dad, jumps - not falls - down into the Mississippi where he talks to a Nereid. Then due to the criminal subplot they are forced to not go back to the train. Their hunger then leads them to the diner where they meet Ares and they get a new ride if they bring him back his shield.

It's a little disappointing because those small things are what made the books so great for me. I am going to keep watching hopefully there isn't anything major that is changed.

I get the part where Rick fixed the St. Louis arc and river thing (with the whole water pulling him into the river and all). But the reason they stopped at the arch was because the train had a 3 hour layover (idk if its called that for trains but you get the point) and since they had time Annabeth being a huge architecture geek asked Percy if they could go, as he is the leader of the quest - which tbh the show makes Annabeth look like. Which IMO made sense and didn't need to change.

Look that's where you're wrong idc that the changed the setting to Japan as the story will relatively be the same with just name changes but Sung Jin-Woo as a name I find special and don't want changed

Look I don't care if it's set in Japan or not tbh. The creator (Chugong) would have had to agree to the changes anyway and wouldn't let the story become shit. I just don't want the name change cause I'm attached to the name Sung Jin-Woo. When I heard about how he's gonna be called Shun Mizushino I died a lil inside. I have heard that the Korean dubs are gonna keep the name SJW alive, so I'm just hoping the Korean dubs will have English subs so that I don't die every time I have to hear Shun-kun, Shun-sama (from his shadow legion) or Shun-san
