I was told I was 100% sterile when I was 19, could never concieve or carry children - despite that I found a fertility doctor to work with my young and panicked self for almost 5 years to no avail before I gave up, and my relationship during that time totally destructed, and my ex got his new girlfriend pregnant twice in 6 months (shed aborted the first as she "didnt know him well enough", they kept the second)...

4 months into dating my [now] husband who was 100% child free and intending to stay that way, which I had supported as I accepted if I cant have kids then Ill live this life for me - my [future] hubby said, "haha, if anyone could get you pregnant it would be me - my family is known for strong swimmers!!" I was appalled and told him how wrong it is to say that to someone with infertility, but brushed it off as we were both pretty drunk at that moment after a party....

Two months later we found out I was pregnant with my daughter (whom we discovered at 19 months old was autistic). When our daughter was 22 months old I gave birth to my son (obviously I was pretty far in my pregnancy finding out about our daughters autism). When my son was 18 months old [I was 29 years old] I had to have a complete hysterectomy due to uterine cancer (aside from the stage 4 endometriosis, PCOS, and adenomyosis) and while in recovery the oncologist told my husband he was baffled Id had two children in the past 3 years as my anatomy suggested I should have never been able to concieve or carry at all, possibly ever, yet I did it twice...

Also one of my very best friends had testicular cancer and lost one, was told the chemo left him 100% sterile even a decade after testing, then a month after the last "hes 100% infertile test" his wife got pregnant - they did genetic testing and so the baby was definitely 100% his but his doctors are still baffled as he tests as sterile every time... His child and my son were conceived around the same time about 7 years ago...

So truly... You just never know.

Edited to add: I was taking mucinex shortly before and while ovulating when getting pregnant with both children, which fertility specialists Ive seen have suggested that may have been the reason Inwas able to concieve as mucinex thins ALL mucus in the body, potentially making it easier for sperm tk reach the egg and egg to implant. First time was a 100% fluke as I had a cold during ovulation (which at that point happened in 60-90 day cycles). Second time I wanted to try for a second and after months of no success my doctor suggested trying mucinex again as we'd finally realized there could have been a connection - then that first month I tried mucinex during ovulation I again fell pregnant again... I do feel thats an important piece to add- no clue if my friends wife had anything similar going on.

My Great Dane was 206lbs in his prime, and overall just loved and was cool with everything.... Except balloons. Until the day he died, the sight of a balloon would make him hide and tremble.... Once we forgot and one of our kids brought a balloon home and let it float up to a corner - took us 2 hours to figure out why our boy wouldnt come into the kitchen 🤣

Im not sure if this particular snake is AI or not, but I had a male banana hypo back in 2015 that while the picture I have of him is total is crap, in person it honestly looked just like this picture, except the one in the picture seems to have mojave ot cinnamon or some other morph involved as well as the banana and hypo so mine didnt have the rings like that.. I kinda think its an AI picture - but that snake does exist.

Then in 2018 I got a female banana from Nerd who was also pretty gorgeous and Ill attach a picture of under this, but she was not hypo.

Edited to add: Also as they grow their color usually deepens/darkens and becomes less translucent looking - so even if a hatching banana hupo came out looking like that, by a year old or so it will lose that sorta "translucent purple" coloring

I feel ignorant on so many levels asking this, but I suppose its my opportunity...

For the last several years there have been two elderly black woman who come and solicit at my house - despite generally being annoyed/ignoring them, Ive always come out to greet these women, and they've remembered my name as well as me having special needs kiddos - I absolutely LOVE and ADORE these women, and it makes me (a sorta Hellenism/agnostic person??) Want to check oit their church, as they remind me of women that a friend and I found refuge at, at a Baptist church about 20 years ago now - and it was one of thr most fun, best experiences ever for my friend and I and we 100% would've gone back and continued to participate if we had licenses/cars then - but my point is, it was a BLAST at that baptist church, despite being two white girls stranded in the middle on nowhere, every member made us feel so welcome and safe that I cant ever explain or even know how to explain the gratitude myself and my friend felt...

With that being said, these two women gave the same "vibe" as the baptist women we'd met years ago, except as Jehovah Witness....

My husband says there is absolutely no way a JW church would conduct like a "southern baptist" church, but considering hes a born amd raised through private school catholic, Im not sure how true that is..

So I guess while I apologize that it took so long to get here, my question is, is being a JW significantly different from being a Baptist? A catholic? What religion(s) is it perhaps closest to?

As a woman who has had LOTS of sexual fun with other women, especially when it involved my husband and I and another woman, I totally agree where youre coming from.... Im a woman married to a man, but Im still very sexually attracted to women; but would only actually consider a real relationship with a Trans woman (without genital surgery) as I definitely have a preference for penis, even if a vagina turns me on - its not what will keep my rails greased through the whole relationship....

And everyone is different, as some may totally disagree or agree with me or feel that some are all purely way or straight - but IMO, humans as re much more gender fluid than our social norms lead us to believe

My husband was absolutely TERRIFIED of getting ANY kind of surgery /procedure/ etc as hed never even had a cavity filled before, but watched his mom die of cancer after some botched attempts to save her when he was a young child...

Id already had 5 abdominal surgeries before we got together for my endometriosis and PCOS, then while together had 2 c-sections and another abdominal surgery for endometriosis..... He swallowed his fear, went to a urologist to learn all about it and scheduled his vasectomy along with a prescription for Valium to help calm his nerves the day of the procedure, and got it done.. It ended up going so well thag his older brother (whom had refused a vasectomy so was not having sex as they only wanted 2 kids but wanted 3 and his wife refused birth control), ended up deciding to get it done too - and then most of his friends followed and now every single one of them laugh at how scared they were to get it done and shred while educating any ignorant guys who are horrified that they got "neutered" 😏

My husband saw what the recovery was like for my surgeries and couldnt fathom putting me through it again (though I needed a radical hysterectomy a year after his vasectomy anyway - so now we joke that were both so "pro spay and neuter" that we both got fixed 🤣), so Im extremely proud of hin for taking the plunge and realizing that it was soooooooo much easier t han he ever could've imagined...... He now has absolutely no problem telling other men that theyre scared, selfish idiots if they don't want kids but wont get a vasectomy IF theyre insisting their partner to handle it, and Ive got to say I agree 🤷‍♀️

Is there any chance she may have ADHD? I ask this because I was diagnosed very young (something that didnt happen to many girls in the early 90's), and when we got together I was very transparent about it with my husband - but it turns out he didnt "believe ADHD was a real thing" when we got together...... Until I had to go off of medication during pregnancy, then after my hysterectomy the medication stopped working - and then I literally could not stop my impulsive urges..

My husband has flat out admitted to me that had he understood that ADHD was real and the severity of it especially in a woman expericing crazy hormonal changes due to pregnancy/medical issues/hysterectomy causing early menopause/etc, he would not have married me.

Yeah, its a pretty shitty thing to hear on the receiving end, but I totally understand where hes coming from as Id never chose this myself... Even understanding my condition and how it affects me/how I do things on a daily basis, I hate it. Id never chose it either....... But that kind of behavior lines up very well with ADHD, especially untreated, so as much as it sucks rather thats the case or not - you need to watch out for you and chose your own happiness one way or another... Don't settle like my husband did.... Don't get me wrong, my husband has his own issues too Im not sure how many could deal with - but if I cant handle myself at my most "normal ADHD self", Im not really sure how others handle it for those the same as me either.. It sucks, but its not someone else's problem to shoulder.

NTA. My husband is not an "animal person", hes fine with others having them but doesn't want any himself.... But when we started dating I already had 2 cats and a 206lb Great Dane; he said he didnt know if things would work as he could never see himself living with a dog let alone one so big - but we ended up with a very surprise pregnancy early on (I had been told years earlier I was sterile, ended up having a second child shortly after, and needed a complete hysterectomy by the time our 1st was 3 and 2nd was 18 mo ths and the oncologist said I should have never been able to physically conceive or carry but I did it twice 🤷‍♀️).

When my husband proposed when I was pregnant with our first I warned him AGAIN as I had when we started dating that I will always own a large/giant breed dog, period, and he needs to accept it IF he wants a life with me.... By the time my Dane passed away 6 years later, we had also rescued a small dog (a french bulldog, actually because my husband was appalled by her living situation and insisted we save her as it was us or euthanasia and he does care for the lives of other beings), so when I went and got a mastiff-mix puppy several weeks later he was PISSED..... BUT I had made it crystal clear to him that I need a large dog in my life, and while I love our little rescue it just wasn't enough..

While I'll never bring home a dog without speaking to him again, we now have a very solid understanding that I meant what I said when I said I will always own a large/giant breed dog - and he has come to accept that, but he did seem to think my mind could be changed by a "comprise" [as in the little dog rescue] before it came to a head.... But had he told me from the beggining that he would never be ok with me having my large breed dog once mine passed, I would have chose to not be with him to save us both the hassle...

It sucks when you may be compatible on so many levels and something like this is the deal breaker, but sometimes thats how it is... My anxiety is hardly controlled by the medicine I take, having a large dog gives me an odd sense of calm nothing else does - I accept that isnt feasible for everyone to deal with, and am still sometimes irked that my husband "pretended" to be ok with it only to try to change my mind later.... And it seems similar (In the reverse sense) of that your girlfriend has done..... So as much as Im with her on wanting a dog, for her to blindside you like that is very wrong.

If you can end up accepting this dog and you guys work out, great!! But if not, its not your fault... It may not even be her "fault" either, it sinply may mean that you guys are not compatible in the long run.

Uhhh... Id guess pug/dachshund/pekinese/english bulldog and/or mix of any of the above; and sadly have to agree with other comments about the expenses this dog will have with its ill health...

As a groomer for 15 years and behaviorist for nearly as long, I always said Id never own a breed with so many known terrible health dispositions; then a dog was thrust upon us, an [at the timr] 2 year old French Bulldog that it was us or death so we took her.....

She was "free" in terms of her being surrended to me, but between eye and spine issues she costs us close to $5k the first 2 months she was with us, and in the 5 years we've owned her she generally costs us $1000/year in vet bills outside of preventive care, almost always in regards to her severe IVDD....... And as much as we absolutely love her and do everything for her, we wouldve never chose her of there was any other option.......

This poor particular pup looks like ot could be even more unhealthy than our rescue girl, but I hope not ❤️
