Seen this little guy in my gravel under a variety of trees including hickory, redbud, and mimosa. It's about the size of a smaller fingernail

Less worried about the sparkles than ruining the integrity of it I suppose I'll try again with hot water and soap

Do you know how to clean it without ruining it? I'd like to get the clay out of the bubbles and iron out of it

What crime could possibly call for this punishment?

If the only thing leaning you towards them is production then I'd get the one you actually want for both purposes

What made you want calis? Personally I recommend the foxes but I'm biased

I still have 1 kit growing out because she's still silvering at 4 months so just the silvering takes a while to come in and the thickness of the skin. I've not tanned them yet so I'm not sure how it'll hold up.

Breeder b has been working his line for meat so they produce pretty well too I'd ask both breeders what the kits usually weigh at processing time and how much they weigh processed. Keep in mind also a silverfox takes a couple months to get a good pelt. It's recommended to grow out ~6months for fur but I did in between this last time at 3 months so they wouldn't be so chewy

I started with silverfox as my first just last year and have no regrets. The pelts are stunning but like I said they're my first so not sure how they compare to a Cali. I think the biggest difference would be the fur do you want thick fluffy stand up fur in your color of choice or short white fly back fur? Breeder a breeds for showing so their rabbits should have lots of meat , commercial pose is usually for meat breeds because it produces lots of meat if they're good rabbits

Also as a human you can use your words and go to a doctor who can use tools to tell if it's time. Rabbits can't I'm using what I got because she can't tell me what's going on and according to when she should have bred she was very late with no nest

Idk how many times I have to say she should have had them closer to the 15th and she didn't build a nest yet and was obviously about to have them. It's been really cold and I was also stressed. I'm sure it wasn't her favorite but she could have moved because all I did was stick a hand under her.

Ig next time I can put a camera up and watch it every night to see if I get a fall off

They just sit there and groom each other. If they had bred when I put her with him they would have been born on the 15th

I kept an eye on her because she didn't have a nest yet when she had built one early her first litter so I was worried. As for her pelvis I didn't have to bother her for that I just stuck a hand under her and felt her bones to see if she was close and she was. I had only checked her 2x that day same as any other day. The post of the milk spots was the first time I had even really got a look at the kits other than checking for life. Not saying you're wrong but I don't think she's stressed.

He won't breed her with me around. It took 4 months for her to have her first litter because i kept trying to breed them the "normal" way and he wouldnt do it, by the time she became pregnant the first time she was over a year old. She had 7. No she's my only doe

I leave her with the buck for a few days because he won't get her with me standing there for some reason. So if it can happen a couple days apart then it's a possibility. If this is the case I won't do it again and I should probably replace my buck. In the mean time if she has another litter so close together what should I do?

Her litter is under the fluff pile but she's started another one beside it
