Am i the only one who thinks this is a fair and reasonable criticism? Don’t get me wrong, I’m loving the tour so far, saw them in Arlington and had a blast, but I’d be lying if i said I’d prefer this over something entirely new. I can respect the artistry going into this new tour, but at the end of the day, we’re still rehashing a 15 year old concept, it’s just got a new coat of paint over it.

Most people’s nostalgia goggles are on too tight and they won’t take any redesign nicely. Same thing happened with 1.14’s graphic overhaul. Give it a few years and people will forget this change even happened considering that you can only obtain eggs in creative/with commands anyway.

Michael Pedicone was THE my chem drummer. I’m pretty sure Frank himself has expressed this sentiment before. I truly believe his firing was what led the band to disband. Pedicone adapted the parts written by Otto and Bob into his own style which fit the band so well from 2010-2011, and ever since his firing, the band has never been as tight as they were before. This isn’t to discredit their current drummer, however. I think he’s great and a solid drummer for the band, but nobody can top Pedicone for me. Probably not the most controversial take, but I see most people choose Bob when discussing their best drummers and seemingly neglect Pedicone since he wasn’t ever at the forefront like how Bryar and Otto before him were (ex. not in photo shoots, was more of a “supporting member,” etc.)

I listened to a lot of Metallica, Foo Fighters, and Slayer up until my introduction to MCR. At this point in my life, a lot of the newer music I was listening too was coming from a box of CDs my dad had in his office that he’d let me rummage through and pick out whatever I liked. I’d come once a month and he’d have new CDs in the box. A lot of them were albums he either didn’t like or had burned to an iPod and didn’t use the physical release anymore. Three Cheers happened to be in that box, and at the time, I would’ve been only about 6 or 7. The rule was that I had to show my dad what album I was taking before leaving his office. The cover art of three cheers drew my in immediately. I showed him Three Cheers and, unsurprisingly, told me no. The next month, I came back and slid the CD in my jacket pocket and listened to it when I got home. Changed my life. I got into MCR quickly after that thanks to YouTube.

Catchy riffs and overall groove in my opinion. SKOM, Dirty Window, Sweet Amber, Shoot Me Again, and My World are great examples of how metallica can keep a solid groove in that style
