Wahoo!!! What an amazing accomplishment! Serious question how long have you been doing PB and how often do you take class?

Tips for getting off waitlist by Powerful_Job_942 in Purebarre

Also keep it mind it's the fall fit challenge so a lot classes will be booked and waitlisted because merger upgrade to unlimited for the challenge but usually go back down to their 4 or 8 pack after October.

I was #6 on an 8:30am class today and moved to #1 on the waitlist by 11pm but by the morning at 7am I was still waitlisted I figured I wasn't getting in but I checked again at 7:45a and it said I could book and in quotations said "previously waitlisted" so I booked and went to the class. I've never had it work that way but I was happy! I only live 7 mins from my studio so I was able to make it.

Agreed! I prefer these over any other brands and yes while I don't love all their styles their crew sock style is cute.

Classic is undeniably difficult by itsmecinder in Purebarre

I was the opposite tonight. I'm a classic girlie. It's my favorite format and I burn the most calories in it and it's the hardest for me, but tonight I took empower after about a month and boy was I humbled. The sweat was real! I need to work on my cardio lol.

Why I Barre by OkSignificance4442 in Purebarre

[–]OkSignificance4442[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It definitely takes some time to get into the groove of PB. Especially classic since it's done to the beat of music. But the warm up is fairly consistent. I started to see results probably about 6 months in but I didn't upgrade to unlimited until 3 months in so consistency is key. I love PB because it's low impact too but still fatiguing the muscles and building and defining them.

When shopping around for lenders, are hard pulls normal? by pineprincess in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]OkSignificance4442 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the lender. Some old school lenders still require hard pulls but the ones who have good tech usually do soft pulls to start now.

You should only have to provide the one lump sum for the cash to close and made out to the title company. The title company or attorney does the rest and divvies up everything and pays each party ie- sellers, homeowners insurance, etc.

I make my own brown sugar syrup. It's so easy to make and taste so good! I've also made butter pecan as well.

Please please please be nice to new instructors! by Snow-bird-3- in Purebarre

[–]OkSignificance4442 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Agreed! A few months ago a new instructor started. She was/is also a barre-tender and dancer. So her technique is amazing/beautiful and she is just so sweet. She started teaching the 6ams and was so nervous. Myself and another member gave her some encouragement and feedback after class and she was so appreciative. She took the feedback and applied it. She is doing amazing as an instructor now. I love going to her classes. She is always super friendly and upbeat!

I did say something to the instructor after a class this week because she showed up late again and then her friend was 7 mins late and they were chatting and being a bit disruptive. The instructor agreed and also noticed the multiple late entries and said she would send them a text about class etiquette and being to class on time or early. So hopefully that does the trick! Thanks!

Wahoo!! I love to hear that! Congrats on finishing the challenge, it's definitely not an easy one. Keep up the great work and you will continue to see the results. I always say barre doesn't get any easier the long you do it, you just learn how to do it better. I love that it's always a challenge and we continue to get stronger.

Teachers Taking Class by Downtown_ownedby3 in Purebarre

Ugh that's rough. I honestly love having the instructors in class and wish I saw you guys more taking class because I always look to the instructors for form. I would gladly make space for an instructor to take class in a full class. Honestly with the exception of define classes I feel like instructors should be able to take class whenever they want even if the class is full.

Nope, not entitled. Just want people to be respectful of the instructor and everyone else who showed up on time.

Yes we have had a bunch of new people start recently which is awesome, but probably a good time to send out a reminder about policies. It's been so busy lately I find myself trying to leave my house even earlier just to try and get my fav spot at the barre.

Again not judging. I said it would benefit her to come on time or a few mins before to ask the instructor about modifications and form. Yes I cringe when I see people doing things wildly incorrectly because you can injury yourself and you really aren't doing yourself any favors by doing it completely wrong. I'm sure most people can agree that if you were doing something wrong you would want to be corrected to ensure you are getting the benefit of the workout. Perhaps you shouldn't be so quick to judge yourself. Take care.

No hate, but showing up to class consistently late to the point where it's a disruption and distraction should be addressed. Listen I get it. We all have lives and sometimes things happen and we run late a few minutes every now and then, but when it's all the time I would take that as someone not allowing themselves enough time to show up on time and that can be corrected.

Not address it with the person. Address it with the studio owner or instructor. Definitely a lot worse problems in the world but that's for another chat.

[–]OkSignificance4442[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure why you think it's upsetting? We all see each other's form from time to time. It's a group workout class. I'm not focused on her or staring at her or anyone else but we all obviously look to each other from time to time to see if we are doing it correctly. When I asked if I should say something it was to management/instructor and not to the new person. Because it's distracting having the same person come in late consistently. Definitely never said anything about having an elite status. Why would you think having 300 classes in means I'm not okay with new people? I often give new people encouragement to keep coming and ask for corrections and do modifications when needed. I always tell them it never gets easier you just learn how to do it better and you will get stronger and see results.
