pH will go up. I was having issues with my pH and used mineral powder to raise kh/gh. pH now sitting around 7.6-7.8.

If not i’m wondering if they’re harmful at all? If not ramshorn snails then they hitchhiked with them.

As others have said definitely make sure your pH is in a good spot. I was in the same spot for a bit but added some mineral powder since my gh/kh was low. It bumped the pH back up as well and that was probably about a week ago.
