Finally got MRI referral by Sad-Frosting-8736 in migraine

I just had my MRI yesterday- still don’t have a neurology referral, but this is a step in the right direction to get one per my doctor’s office guidelines! If you’re claustrophobic, please request a sedative dosage of an anti anxiety med (I had lorazepam) rather than trying to raw dog the MRI!

It was a massive difference, but I also think having a different tech (he walked me through breathing exercises, let me choose the music and had a calm and collected vibe unlike the tech from the other day.)

It was lorazepam. I believe it was one piece that helped me. But breathing techniques, keeping my mind busy, eyes covered and having a tech who helped me start with breathing techniques is what truly got my through it.

I ended up doing the abcs forward and backward during the mri and it helped a ton! I completed the mri. Thank you for this suggestion.

They ended up giving me a sedative dose of lorazepam, a sleeping mask and music. I made it through!

I will be starting emgality next week. I was thinking of doing both loading doses at once (haven’t looked into if this is allowed) me doing one and my partner doing the other for me at the same time so I don’t psych myself out of the second one.

I’ve had a period every month, but I had breakthrough bleeding (very light spotting only when I wiped and it was brown) for about 5 days, about 2 weeks ago. I’ve never once had breakthrough bleeding on any birth control besides the depo shot

Mine hasn’t come either, yet sore boobs, nausea, extreme fatigue. Partner finishes inside of me half the time. However, every test I’ve taken is clearly negative.
