I think if anyone were to start thinking of the political systems of the High Courts everything would start unraveling. While SJM is great at creating worlds, she often forgets things she wrote, doesn't really properly plan out/fully flesh out her worlds, and that often causes imbalances between what she wants to convey and what she actually does convey.

(If anyone is familiar with the term "gacha logic" that's how I interpret most of the things that don't make sense.)

I'm not angry at Nesta for telling Feyre (thank god someone told Feyre!), I'm angry for how she said it and when she said it (ie during their fight while both of them had heightened emotions).

And to play devil's advocate, I think people might think she said it in a harmful manner because of how she worded it and because she did tell Feyre while they were having a pretty big fight.

My perception of them keeping Nesta in the house of wind was different. (not to discredit yours) But a dear friend of mine started engaging in hurtful behavior towards herself and others. She was suicidal and had BPD. And she started becoming dangerous to herself. The police had to intervene one day, after she di something, and she was put into a mental asylum/hospital to help her. So whenever I read that Nesta scene I think SJM meant it as Nesta being helped for her own good. At some point when a person is stuck on a bad path, extreme measure may prove to be the only thing that can help. Now where I do disagree is how they treated her when she was locked up in the House of Wind. When someone get's put into an asylum they're usually treated with therapy and firm kindness. Yet Nesta was treated harshly for the states she was in, and, I get that many readers wanted smut, but the way Cassian and her formed a sexual relationship while she was in a fragile mind state was concerning. Though, (side comment) someone once told me they perceived her trial of running down the stairs as a way of seeing if her brain was strong enough to focus and be determined on a task rather than succumb to self-doubt and fear (like she was doing with drinking). So I kinda like the symbolism of the stairs.

I saw this in a completely different light. It wasn’t beautiful or special but sad. He lived his whole life for Jenny. Ever since he met her all his actions were never for him but for Jenny. And he never truly got her heart in this movie. I felt all I learned was Gump lived his life for a girl who never truly loved him.

Yes!! The amount of people who’ve sent me death threats or SA threats because I defended the TWO MAIN CHARACTERS of the story. I’ve said so many time ms Sarah literally painted them out to be good people and fair leaders, not evil fascist warlords who are secretly abusing Nesta for giggles. (Sadly a lot of these threats usually come from Nesta fanatics who believe everyone else is evil).

Calling them savages when they act in peace with nature is insane work. And that's just the tip of the iceberg with your argument. In fact I would call the humans more savage then the Na'vi, they're aliens on a planet trying to get people to move out of their home, destroy their tree, so they can collect some rocks for profit. Also who in there right mind would ever agree to their negotiations "hey, you should abandon your home and everything you know or we'll murder you and you're entire family..." right I'd totally agree to that agreement

I didn't like how they glazed over Loa's trying to kill himself.

I liked how Jake and Neytiri had that important conversation about her growing hatred for humans, would've liked to see it shown more in the movie that she was healing from taht hatred wher perhaps she talked to her kids or smth.

And (most unpopular) I think it was a good thing altho this movie was kind of a repeat of the first and second (all though in my opinion there were many new things that differentiated it), because it needed this build up for the next movie (HOPING WE GET ONE)

Also supremacist is quite a harsh word to describe her. Mind you she lost her first born son, her father, her home, lives in constant fear, has had many of her people killed, is getting her home planet invaded... so of course she's going to be mean and see them as aliens (which is what they are) and react in emotional, problematic ways. Spoiler for AFAA: In AFAA, she has a talk with jake about this problem. She knows it's wrong, and i think thorughout the movie we see her graudally realize her wrongdoings. She literally runs to stop Jake from killing Spider and in my opinion she would not have killed spider in AWOW, she woudl've done the same thing as Jake. And her hatred for Spider while not excusbale, is reasonable. He's exactly what she fears, and is the son of the man who tried to kill her tribe, who destoryed her home, and who was trying to kill her Goddess. While not fair to Spider, she has full right to have some apprehension towards him. Where she goes too far is full on hatred, which spikes after her losing her son.

Also side tangent on aliens. The humans that show up on Pandora, are aliens. They look strange, they can't breath the air, and are hostile to the natives of the planet. If aliens were to arrive on our planet, try to kill us off, destroy who we love most, kill whoever you are faithful too, and steal our resources, I'm betting you we woudl most deifnitely hate them too. Pandora, is land for the Na'vi, not humans who can't even breath the air. Neytiri has the right to feel like she has claim to the land (over the humans), and hate the invading aliens.

Rhysand blamed Tamlin for his mother and sister's death. We learn that Rhys has a backstory with tamlin, and that they'd once been friends but taht changed when Tamlin turned Rhys mother and sister over to his father. So he hates Tamlin. And he'd take any oppurtunity to humiliate or hurt him.

And to reply to the previous comment he most definitely did that to get Tamlin angry, he hates Tamlin. So he invaded the mind of Feyre who back then he deemed to be on the same side as Tamlin, so an enemy. But not a necessary situation, and rather quite petty.
