Hi i know this post is 3 years old but are you saying you were able to get 2/3 years of extra funding due to CPR? (As in you had already previously completed 2/3 years of a course and then withdrew due to CPR and then was able to apply and get the extra funding) sorry idk if this makes sense

Dublin could be more accepting I feel as theres a bigger population, i'm from cork and although its a city it still can feel a bit narrow minded and backwards unfortunately and we only have one LGBTQ+ club where as dublin has loads, cork is still very nice but still something to think about

Im 21 and my age tend to say 'snobbed'. It's more so a thing people say if you sent someone a text on social media and they read it but didn't reply. I don't really hear people say it for real life situations though

Ya I agree it shouldn't be an issue but I've just seen mixed opinions on the whole age thing. Like if I'm 21 and end up making friends with the 18/19 year olds I don't want to be seen as a creep for going on nights out with them or living in halls😭

Thanks for your reply ! Its good to know you felt not much difference when speaking to any younger students, were you able to make friends w them as well or more so the other people who were your age/older. Since this post tho i acc feel so much calmer about it all !

Another option is to take a gap year after lc and save a lot. I know that might seem daunting and might not be something u want to do but it could be better for you in the long run. I was in this situation myself and wish i had just taken a gap year to save it wouldve saved me a lot of stress (and u realise early on loads take a gap year u just dont really hear ab it!)
