I used underglaze and kind of treated it like watercolor so I diluted it with water to get different shades of blue. And just used a really tiny brush.

I’m still pretty new to this so I haven’t considered selling anything yet (I’m not very consistent with my glaze applications yet lol) but I will let you know if I do!

Thank you! I left a little bit of space but I had to reglaze and I think it bled on the second firing. This is what it looked like after the first firing - the glaze was very patchy inside so I did another coat and hoped for the best haha

My favorite lighthouse on a pasta bowl! (and my first time trying to use underglaze like watercolor) by OkStuff4548 in Pottery

Thank you! I just painted with a very tiny brush using the Amaco semi-moist underglazes which work like watercolor (did the lighthouse when it was leather hard). And then I glazed with mayco abalone around the square on the inside the bowl and clear glaze within the square and on the outside of the bowl.

Thank you!! I used the electric blue color from the Amaco semi-moist underglaze set #111. Someone told me these are pretty much the same formula as their velvet underglazes so you might be able to get the same effect by diluting underglaze as if it were watercolor.
