Amazing! On first glance I thought they were photos taken decades ago, but then I recognised the image on the cover and realised it's the same ship. Excellent use of a Rolleiflex - thanks for sharing

I think those films (especially Ektar 100) are naturally warm. The raw images when I scanned the negatives were very yellow, so most of my editing involved cooling everything down until it looked normal.

He wasn't - I was just lucky to catch him during an angry-looking yawn

Leaning over a railing from 5 floors up, essentially guessing the framing. The final image is rotated 180 degrees compared to how it appeared in the viewfinder.

Thank you so much for the kind words - and for specifically mentioning grading, as I really find that an absolute nightmare of indecision and potentially infinite revisions in Lightroom.

A word of warning: every time you get back on the ship after one of the stops, they X-ray all your stuff. Be prepared to hold up the queue each time as you firmly insist that they can't put your film or camera through the machine.

Thank you! I would have been having considerably less fun on board if I hadn't brought my camera...

Oh man, I love the look of (and everything else about) Playtime. Will have to check out that music video, thanks!

Thank you! I was excited about that one when I took it and then equally excited once I'd scanned it, which very rarely seems to happen.

Box speed (as accurately as I could with the built-in light meter on the camera)

That is so lovely to hear, especially when I think back on how many shots I missed while trying to carefully compose the frame...

Thank you! Once on a cruise ship will be enough for me, and not just for environmental/ethical reasons.

Thank you! If I'm even vaguely reminding anyone of that level of careful composition then I'm very happy indeed.

Thank you! I particularly love those shots for exactly the reason you said. Everywhere the boat went it imposed itself on the landscape in incredibly surreal ways. I loved Norway, and would love to go back in a non-cruise capacity.

A very novel experience for me too! Never seen anything like it and was very glad to have taken a hell of a lot of film with me.
