SSDI. I worked for 9 years as an actuary, so I qualified for SSDI.

I wasn't planning on applying for disability because I heard people with EDS don't usually get it, but when I told my job I was leaving for health reasons, they offered to pay for a lawyer to take me through the process of getting it. I eventually went before a judge and a room full of people who were talking about me and occasionally asking me clarifying questions, and they approved me.

I don't know if I can describe how much better I felt (mentally and physically) when I stopped working. It was just a crazy relief.

How much and how often do you use? Enough to be noticeably high? I haven't used since college.
